Chantal was aware of her fiance's past. Of course, she heard many stories about her from the grapevine. Thankfully, Dale was open about his ex, telling her the story of a woman he had loved but had broken his heart.

But as far as she knew, she had disappeared. Nobody had heard anything about her since she failed to attend her wedding, not even Dale.
