She immediately halted when she heard her name. Of course, she expected to bump into her any moment that night. That was unavoidable.
However, she could not say she might like to spend even one minute with her. But again, it was not a matter of choice on her part.
"Sure, Frances." She reluctantly answered, but she followed her mother-in-law anyway.
The older woman led her to the back of the musical band, where a door led to another smaller room. She guessed it might be a private room for the other guests.
She was surprised that Damon's mother would want to talk to her. But she guessed that would eventually happen one way or another since she was now carrying their name.
"I won't take much of your time." Her mother-in-law declared as she stopped just inside the room.
