It was clear that his friend was out of it. "What is the matter with you?" He whispered as they exited the board meeting. 

Of course, he did not want the other people in the room to hear him. But he doubted if they were not thinking the same thing.

"Your head seemed to be up with the clouds." Damon could see that Travis was not himself. 

His friend was distracted. But whatever bothered his friend, he guessed it had nothing to do with the business. 

Fortunately, the meeting was just an informal presentation of facts. Therefore, Travis's input was not necessarily relevant for the time being.

"Nothing. Just the usual nonsense." His friend still could not admit his reason for acting like a fucking moron. "But I will see you around. I still have another meeting to attend to." 

He knew that was an excuse, but he had no time to grill his friend. He had another meeting, too, that he needed to attend. And from Wenna's expression, he was already late.
