Arix's eyes darted around nervously. Then, with a bit of hesitation, they shuffled over to Sunak's side.
Rubbing their furry body against Sunak, Arix spoke in a sugary, pleading voice, "Sunak, don't be mad. I was just bored in the room and needed a little fresh air."
"And besides, I'm still just a little cub. If I stay cooped up all the time, I'll get depressed and lose my fur." Arix's voice mixed soft pleading with a touch of stubbornness. Her eyes welled up with tears, making them look even more pitiful.
Sunak clenched their fists, trying to stay firm, but he couldn't resist for long. He sighed and scooped Arix up into his arms, "Arix, you need to remember you're still a cub and have to listen to the adults, okay?"
'But I'm over eighteen now!' Arix complained inwardly, but she kept an innocent and obedient expression on their face, nodding dutifully.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
