Chapter 154: Results Of The Mission

We're all in the locker room, and everyone is cheering and celebrating. Winning the first game of the season is a big deal for a team with the reputation The Knicks have. I'm being given my privacy near my locker, and I'm currently checking out the Mission I completed.

The rewards section of the Mission is what grabs my attention. It's saying I've got a new badge. I think that's a great reward for a Mission that was as easy as this one. Well, most people would consider it hard. But the system has made me this overpowered.
"Should we go out and drink tonight? We don't have a game scheduled tomorrow."
Barret brings up something with the team as I'm within earshot. I'm not really into that sort of stuff. Besides, I want to go to my penthouse apartment with my family and friends and relax.
I also what to check out my new badge.
As I open the system, I'm shown everything.

When I finish reading the description of the new badge, all I can think of is how the NBA will change as the season progresses. The NBA will be forced to make rules about me on how to actually stop me from taking over games completely.
It's what they did with Bill Russel, Wilt Chamberlain, and other greats of the game that were too good at basketball.

Everything is looking really amazing to me. But it's the first game of the season, and we're bound to have losses. Both minor and major defeats. It's unavoidable.
However, I shift my attention back to my team and see them all getting ready to head out.
"I won't be joining you guys. Not like I can go out and celebrate anyways."
After all, I'm still 18, and that means no alcohol or getting into bars for me. Which gives me the perfect excuse to head home with my family.

Ulysses plops down on the couch and looks toward the TV.
"Are you hungry, sweetie?"
I'm quick to ask since we're home now. Hannah is fast to join him on the couch. Bianca comes into the kitchen with me as William rushes to the bathroom to relieve himself.
"I could go for something that's hot."
Bianca smiles at me as we share a look. Ulysses knows that when he asks for something hot, I know exactly what he's talking about. Bianca finds it funny he gave such a general answer.
"Don't worry. I know just the thing."
As I start pulling out ingredients and before I can whip something up. Hannah is in the kitchen with Bianca and me. She makes her way over and starts to whisper.
"Ulysses is about to go in the shower, and I was wondering if you could show me how to cook his favorite hot meal."
She makes sure she can't be heard. As if on cue, Ulysses stands up and makes his way upstairs and to the Master Bedrooms full-sized Bathroom.
"Yeah, but don't be surprised if you ruin it. You're not the best cook, after all."
My joke causes Bianca to giggle, but Hannah gets determination from it.
