Sheng Yize had woken up and was now leaning back against his pillow with a grim face. The medical staff and his assistant shivered at the intimidating air he was giving off.

Aww! Mrs. Sheng, where are you? Come back now or we won't live to see another sunrise!

"Sheng Yize~" Everyone turned toward the door in unison when they heard that soft voice.

In their eyes, An Xiaxia had just shown up with a halo over her head. Their savior was back!

The chilly air coming off Sheng Yize vanished instantly and he darted her a quick glance.

He didn't know what An Xiaxia was thinking and had to presume that she was still mad at him.

"Are you hungry? Do you want some congee?"

"Hm," he said quietly while he scanned the room with his eyes.

Everyone took the hint right away and disappeared from the room, leaving their boss and his wife alone.
