Lingjue Temple was a huge, ancient temple. According to historical records, it was built during the Northern and Southern Dynasties¹.

The architectural layout of Lingjue Temple was squarish. It mainly housed the Front Gate, Hall of Four Heavenly Kings, Daxiong Hall, Hall of Bodhisatta, and Sutra Depository. The symmetry was rigid.
