Avoiding Overtime

The head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, Gray, was one of the best coaches in the NBA. He was a tactical master and also had the wisdom that comes with age. During his tenure as the coach of the Spurs, he had led the team to the championship of the NBA. Some thought that he was the most accomplished head coach in the league.

In recent seasons, the Spurs had gotten a bit worse, but they still frequented the playoffs. This year, the team was ranked fifth in the Western Conference. The fourth-ranked team was only one game ahead of them.

Last night, the Spurs had beat a strong team in the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia 76ers, in a home game. Their next game was an away game against the Clippers. Based on their schedule, the players flew to L.A. in the afternoon and were staying a night in L.A. to prepare for the game the next night.

Coach Gray held a roster and moved in front of the players. The Spurs players quieted down as they saw Coach Gray.
