A blazing firestorm soared to the sky as a cloud of dust pervaded the arena.

Suddenly, the pilot of Thunderburst discovered that his screen had gone black. Immediately afterward, there were crackling sounds of electric sparks coming from electronic equipment all around him before a plume of smoke rose from the display and the interface.
