Li Du replied, "Are you serious? I think that some people here know how much I can drink. If I were to go on drinking, those who would have to pay the bill later might be heartsick for quite a while."

Recalling the rumors about his drinking, Big Beard Carl said, "Hey, don't stop him! The guy just finished off half of the beer we ordered!"

Smiling, Li Du walked towards the bar. He asked the bartender, "How much is it?"

The bartender shrugged. "I haven't tallied, but about 1,500 dollars."

Li Du slapped 2,000 dollars onto the table. "The rest are tips. If it's not enough, let them pay."
