The relationship between otherwordlings, humans and demon hunters was a complicated one—messier than a tripartite war. There was no way the otherwordlings and demon hunters could ever see eye to eye. The involvement of humans, who were the most populous, complex and fickle beings on Earth did not help in the endless struggle either. The latter and their masters were forced to go underground, however they continued to thrive.
