Notably, his daughter was also with him. She was a sexy and fashionably made-up girl, and she had almost become Jasper's wife at one point. But in the end, Jasper's "footloose-ness" had compounded with the groups' disagreements. Put simply, York would not let his daughter marry a useless creature.
