How long are we going to be seeing "taking a break"? There's a lot of good points to this story and a lot of standard OP style, but still, the story needs to go on. A lot of people paid premium chapters and then BAM,no more chapters and no info from the author or editor.
This novel has one of the most hypocritical MCs. He sometimes spares his foes saying he couldn’t be bothered with them in arrogant ways which is supposedly cool according to author...and he acts humble to immortals in the painting who also praise him to be MATURE....he is nothing without the gifts he is born with and the painting yet acts almighty.....I have only read until 250 chapters in which almost all the arcs revloce around him helping girls who fall in love with him but he soon distances himself afterwards..I am not saying that he should take every girl he encounters but it’s like author introduces girls to show MCs awesomeness..Every battle is epic and is should be written in history..all the spectator are like ‘this move hasn’t been seen in centuries’, ‘he is so young’ etc...there is no character design as everything he does is hypocritical and it annoys me how the author tries to make the hypocritical moves as something cool and grand every character is a pathetic attempt to show-off MCs greatness.... Anyway I do not recommend this book to people who are already fed up with repetitive plots but it is a good choice for people who like wish-fullfillment novels

I can't handle trying to force myself to read this again. I tried to read it when it was first translated but dropped it because of how unoriginal it was. Here I am years later and I still can't handle this POS. The main character makes me wanna f*cking kill myself. I need someone to compensate me for wasting my time with this utter trash.
It's good, but has logic leaps that keep it from being better. A bit repetitive at times. Is it still being written/translated, since the constant updates have stopped?

Its good tho but the promised chap a week s noot.. But over all its thumbs up. I realy like this novel and bscly done reading all the prev chaps and had been w8ting like agess here for the next chap., And also i have 18 account here in webnovel all of it rate highly to u guys and droo some of there stone and coins spcly some gifts..hope to see more improvements
This is a story that I well, and truly wanted to like. It has alchemy, an op mc, martial arts — what’s not to like? I’ve read other average works for the plot or points of story alone but there’s nothing good to say about this: forget something like ED, it’s worse than any other novel I’ve seriously tried to read. The story keeps contradicting itself, the character is developed badly, and the world makes absolutely no sense. Also, I’m sure the translators work very hard, and it is rude of me to say, but the first chapters (I read the first 80) are chunky; the sentences often have poor syntax. That’s not to say it’s terrible though, and the translation did start to improve. The problem is the novel itself. In the first few chapters, the mc gets ludicrous powers, talks about the importance of staying low-key while also exhibiting them to everyone around him, is both a direct and indirect descendant (depending on which chapter you read)....I could go on. He’s an alchemy wizard, able to start off not with great potential, but great results, making pills of legendary quality: then he heals the mayor’s daughter, only for him to give his adopted brother money to buy pills from outside when he finds out his mother is sick...whaat? — and he fails to think about how a kid whose marginalised showing up with the equivalent of half their clan’s yearly earnings might get into trouble. Uuufhvjvuhh. *angry noises*

I really like this novel but it has large jumps of logic. Which in turn makes a lot of the scenes very unsatisfying and so very confusing. Overall it's okay but definitely not great it's somewhere between slightly above-average very slightly or slightly below.

I was not convinced with the first chapters. I do not mean to say that it's bad or a, throw. The tastes and colors are not disgusting. For me, it's average.
Good so far, I'm really enjoying it. I'm at about chapter 200 right now. I have only one thing to complain about and that is the price for the chapters are like 12 spirit stones, whilst, else where, on different novels the price of a chapter is only about 6 spirit stones. Why is there such a big difference?
To be honest, if the mentality of Ling Xian as good as Doctor Ling Ran, it would be great. This kid is so stupid that, he know 'his wealth' bring disaster to him if known to other people yet he still 'show it off' to other people like idiot. LOL.
