After leaving the Wind Valley, Grimm and Claudia did not go directly to the Infernal Spirit World, but instead made a stop at the Ice Straits in between the Arctic Tundra and the Infernal Spirit World.

They made the stop as they had noticed a small island that did not show any signs of abyss energy when they were flying across it.

An island that was once the Infernal Spirit World which had not been affected by the Abyssal Moss had caught the attention of both of the sorcerers.

Hence, this rare occurrence showed the level of severity of the world's abyssalization.

Claudia went off to collect the specimens of original lifeforms on the island in order to compare them with Abyssal Creatures that were found in other areas. Based on the comparison, a hypothetical prediction would be formed about the Abyss Cataclysm scenario that would happen in the future, which was going to be more than ten years later.
