'Hmm?'
Grimm looked at the tall building in front of him and felt a bit astonished. The building was a few hundred meters tall, with a structure that looked like an upside-down "V".
"What a unique structure. It explains why it was stated on the map that this place would be very easy to identify. I didn't expect the Fundamental Knowledge Library of the Holy Tower of Seven Rings to have this unusual structure. This is quite refreshing," Grimm murmured to himself as he landed on the ground.
At the main entrance of the library, there was a long staircase with more than a hundred steps. A stone monument with the famous saying "Grant me infinite knowledge, and I shall be as a fulcrum, set to move the endless world"[1] written on it could be seen at the entrance, but nobody seemed to pay any heed.
The reason was because this type of stone monument was too common in the Sorcerer World.
[1]Raw version: "给我无尽知识,我便以自身为支点,撬动无尽世界"
This quote was previously translated as "With my knowledge, give me a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world", I think it doesn't translate the true meaning.
Basically, this is a famous quote that this whole novel is based on, it is the whole point why sorcerers do what they do, so it's kind of a big deal lol.
To understand the true meaning of this quote, you can read back Chapter 59 of the raw version. Long story short, in the 2nd ancient major war between the sorcerer world and foreign world, the sorcerer world almost lost. At that point, a great ancient sorcerer sacrificed his own life to save the sorcerer world. He used his own life as a "fulcrum" (支点) and his deep and profound sorcerer knowledge as a "lever" (杠杆)and cast a super-mega-strong-awesome spell that moved the coordinate of the sorcerer world from its original location to its current new location, and the sorcerer world was saved from the attacks for foreign world. During his last moments, he said this quote: 给我无尽知识,我便以自身为支点,撬动无尽世界。Hence, all the later generation sorcerers that survived place a monument of this quote at every sorcerer school to remember this great sorcerer.
[2] Yet another direct pinyin translation alert. In Chapter 75, the term 炼体巫师 was translated into Lianti sorcerers, which doesn't really make sense in English.
and in Chapter 97, the term 炼体 was translated into "body-strengthening".
And then it got even more confusing in Chapter 140, where the term “lianti” was further used to translate the 3 sub-category of 炼体巫师:
野性本能炼体巫师 - wild instinct lianti sorcerers
体能奥义炼体巫师 - physically capable ougi lianti sorcerers
元素激增炼体巫师 - elemental surge lianti sorcerers
From my understanding, 炼体 means something like body refinery skill. Something like "Anatomy Refinery Sorcerer" would explain the term 炼体巫师 better.
As for the three sub-categories of 炼体巫师,I suggest:
野性本能炼体巫师 - Wild Instinct Anatomy Refinery Sorcerer
体能奥义炼体巫师 - Arcane Energy Anatomy Refinery Sorcerer
元素激增炼体巫师 - Elemental Surge Anatomy Refinery Sorcerer
And the term 奥义 was translated as Arcane, which is the Japanese kanji pronunciation. 奥义 is likely taken from 深奥的含义,so 奥义巫师 is better translated as Arcane Sorcerer.
Another slight setback: Webnovel requires all novels to have a minimum 20 backup chapters so we will have to wait to release new chapters.
