Hazel noticed the anxiousness in her voice, when she had called her during lunch with Ethan and Sunny,which was unlike Susan.

She noticed that she didn't want her to turn her request down,and had politely spoken to her, adding more to Hazel's inquisitive mind that something was wrong with Susan.

But that was the least of her problems at the moment, because she swept whatever it was about Susan aside, and walked back into the restaurant where the lunch was going on.
