Chapter 12: An Unannounced Competition

"It wasn't a big deal. Anyone in my position would have done the same thing, i suppose" Isabella replied, her tone nonchalant as she brushed off his gratitude.

But inwardly, she was anything but indifferent. Uh-huh… there's no mistaking it. This boy was Prince Elias, the second prince of Raventhornton, and she remembered his role from the novel all too well.

This scene was playing out almost exactly as it had in the book, except for one key difference. In the original story, the villainess hadn't interacted this much with Elias after saving him.

Despite her indifferent response at the time, Elias had become her admirer, doing everything in his power to help her, even when it endangered his own life.

His feelings for the villainess had been unwavering, even self-destructive.
