Chapter 53: Sphere Of Detonation

Qein paced around the room, his boots clicking against the stone floor in a steady rhythm. His fingers twitched restlessly, the movement almost involuntary, like a reflex testing itself. Andrew watched him from a seat near the corner, his arms crossed, while Mella now stood by the window, her brows knit in thought.

"Are you alright, Qein?" Andrew finally broke the silence, his voice calm but probing.

"I think so," Qein muttered, flexing his fingers again. He suddenly clasped his hands together. A clear, shimmering sphere materialized between them, pulsating faintly with energy. The light inside it danced, resembling a contained explosion held in stasis.

Mella gasped. "What is that?"

Qein's lips curved into a slight frown, though his eyes betrayed his surprise. "This... is my ability," he said, holding the sphere up to the light. "The 'system' called it a 'Sphere of Detonation.' Apparently, bombs are really my thing now."
