[On this day, Iruka was actively teaching in class.]
[Uzumaki Naruto listened to the lecture attentively.]
[Although he didn't think Iruka was particularly skilled in ninjutsu, Naruto knew well that having a solid foundation would be crucial for his future.]
[Signs, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and speculative assumptions—]
[Uzumaki Naruto didn't expect that the world of ninjas could be so interesting.]
[They could actually make assumptions about problems and use them to guide their actions.]
"Interesting!" Naruto smiled, then suddenly grew irritated. "What a joke…"
[So far, Naruto had been unable to figure out his own issues, and it distressed him.]
[He wanted to ask Iruka, but when he remembered Iruka's attitude from before, he quickly dismissed the idea.]
[The Third Hokage had been very busy for the past two years, and Naruto hadn't seen him since the day he handed over the scroll.]
[Then there was the braided teacher who taught him how to throw a shuriken. Naruto hadn't seen him since that day either.]
[He stretched and looked around the classroom.]
"Wow! Look, Naruto's looking in my direction."
"Nonsense, he's looking at me!"
"…."
[After two years of hard work, Naruto had become a little stronger.]
[He also had high standards for his own appearance, and his popularity with the girls in class was now on par with Uchiha Sasuke's.]
[Especially after he beat Sasuke with a shuriken two years ago, Sasuke had been cold and distant, and his image was less friendly than Naruto's.]
[Unfortunately, the seat Naruto was looking at was Sasuke's empty desk.]
"This guy is really strange. He usually studies so hard but skipped class today…"
[Naruto mumbled to himself, but didn't think much of it.]
[Maybe Sasuke was sick. Without his cold stare every day, Naruto found the classroom environment much more comfortable.]

The Revelation
"What?!"
This shocking scene stunned Naruto's contemporaries.
Naruto... Naruto?
He had actually become the most popular guy in class?
Impossible. It had to be some kind of mistake.
But the group of girls were shouting excitedly that Naruto was indeed the one they were talking about, not Sasuke.
By the way, Uchiha Sasuke was absent that day.
Suddenly, everyone realized something important.
Sasuke never skipped class unless it was the time when the Uchiha clan was wiped out.
This made everyone even more confused.
Uzumaki Naruto was staring at the screen in disbelief.
Why? Why was he being stared at by girls when Sasuke was the one usually sought after by them?
Even more puzzling to Naruto was how the roles had completely flipped. He and Sasuke seemed to be living completely different lives now.
Uzumaki Naruto: "Damn! Why does it feel like our lives are so different?"
Uchiha Sasuke: "…"
Haruno Sakura: "…"
Yamanaka Ino: "Naruto, you both started off similarly. The only difference is that Sasuke put all his energy into spiritual training."
Aburame Shino: "If you want to know why, girls like boys who are handsome and strong. Naruto, you're not bad-looking, but your mischievous nature doesn't help your image."
Inuzuka: "I don't agree. Why is Naruto so popular in that world? Shouldn't it be me, Inuzuka?"
Inuzuka Hana: "Shut up, you stinky brother. Stop embarrassing yourself."

A Growing Unease
At the back of the classroom, Uzumaki Naruto felt tired after studying all morning.
He gazed out of the window, and his bad feeling about the day grew stronger.
A few nights ago, he had gone to the back mountain to practice, as usual, but was stopped by a masked ninja who told him to stay inside that night.
To make matters worse, the masked ninja with purple hair had stayed at his home all night, watching him.
The next day, Sasuke didn't come to class.
Naruto wasn't sure if the two events were connected, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

The Uchiha Clan's Fate
"This afternoon's class will be self-study," Iruka announced.
"I've provided you with books on the history of Konoha Village. Please take a look while I attend a meeting. Stay in the classroom and don't wander off."
Naruto glanced at Iruka, noticing the teacher's grim expression.
The unease in Naruto's heart grew stronger.
"Hey, have you heard?" someone whispered shortly after Iruka left the classroom.
"Sasuke and the Uchiha clan—something huge happened."
"Ah! What?"
"I overheard my father talking with his friends. He said that Sasuke's entire family was killed, and he was the only one left."
"What?! Don't say that!"
"Didn't you see Iruka's face? I'm sure he knows something."

Shocking News
Naruto's mind raced as he overheard the news.
The Uchiha clan had been wiped out. Almost all the elite members of Konoha Village, including Sasuke's family, were killed. And it had happened right in Konoha Village.
Naruto's face darkened.
To think that such a powerful clan could be destroyed in Konoha. What kind of world was this ninja world?
Naruto was stunned.
Life in Konoha Village was supposed to be harmonious, despite the villagers' bad attitude toward him. Most people he met were friendly.
But now, to hear that an entire clan had vanished overnight was a shocking revelation.
Naruto couldn't shake the question in his mind: If the Uchiha clan could be wiped out, what about me?
He shivered at the thought. No, there was no time to waste. He needed to get stronger. So strong that no one in this world could ever bully him again.
