Chapter 7: 7 Somewhere Faraway

Dominic's fangs came out straight and clear and when Celine heard him growl, she turned back only to behold a different version of him- her husband.

She was scared and wondered what type of man she got married to. Her brows widened in surprise when she saw Dominic tear apart the wolves.

He changed back to his human form and when he tried to touch her, she drifted away.

Nevertheless, Dominic carried her like a princess and took her to the car. He knew she had many questions running through her mind because of his transformation earlier and he was ready to answer her.

But not now, she had to be treated and after that, they could talk.

Franklin was shocked when he saw them approach the car. He could see the scratches on Celine's skin and wondered what has happened.

"Drive home, Franklin." Dominic said when he got in.

Franklin started the car but when she saw it was going through another direction, she looked at Dominic whose gaze had been fixed on her ever since .

Celine gulped and looked away, tucked a stray strand of her hair, behind her ear. She couldn't look straight into his eyes and even being close to him made her feel uncomfortable.

"Why did you tell him to drive to your house?" She finally asked.

"I don't want you to get into more trouble and you should be careful next time, if you had listened to me then you wouldn't have being attacked by those deadly wolves." Dominic replied.

Celine rolled her eyes at him. "So you're going to scold me now?"

"I'm not, okay? I'm just worried about you. If I hadn't come earlier, I wonder what would have happened."

Her gaze lingered on him for a while before she finally looked out of the window. "You know you have a lot of things to explain, right?"

Dominic nodded. "Yes, I know. I'll tell you everything when we get to my house."

"Speaking about your house, I don't want to go with you. Can you tell your driver to turn around?" Celine asked.

"I'm doing this because I care about you. I can't leave you all alone at your place." He told her and she kept throwing tantrums but he didn't reply her.

As they arrived at Dominic's house, Celine marveled at the beautiful surroundings. The water fountain, serene environment, lush gardens and most especially, the tall mighty mansion in front of her. She was totally mesmerized because it looked so much like a castle.

"What are we doing here? I thought you said we were coming to your house?" She questioned Dominic who grinned and scooped her in his arms.

"This is my house, baby." He answered her.

"Why do you have to carry me again?" Celine said with a pout.

Dominic ignored her question and said, "If you don't like this place, then we can go stay at one of my houses on the island."

"Island?" Celine exclaimed and he nodded. "Gosh, why are you so rich?"

Dominic grinned at her. "All for you, baby."

"For the umpteenth, please I'll appreciate if you don't call me that."

"What else do I call you then?"

Celine sighed and placed her hands on her waist. Her gaze locked with Dominic's and her eyes seems to bore into his soul. "I need an explanation for what happened earlier, don't try to cover up with something unnecessary."

Dominic nodded and took her into the living room. He placed her gently on the sofa and made for the first aid box. He would have taken her to the hospital, but he hated the smell of antiseptic. Anything about going to an hospital irritated him.

Dominic treated her wound and Celine watched him. He seemed so experienced in this and she wondered if he had worked as a doctor before.

She winced when he applied the ointment on her skin. Dominic fanned some air with his mouth and she calmed after the pain dissipated.

He put the First aid back in place and sat in front of Celine. He didn't know how to start and he doubted if she'll accept his true nature.

He cleared his throat before speaking. "Celine, apart from a wealthy CEO, I'm also a Vampire King."

Celine chuckled dryly, what did he just say? He was a vampire? "I'm not sure I heard you well." She wanted him to repeat himself, maybe he was joking, maybe this wasn't true.

Dominic nodded affirmatively. "I'm speaking the truth, Celine."

She stood up and moved away from him. She has heard a lot about Supernatural creatures like werewolves, dragons and even vampires but she never believed it.

And now she was married to a bloodsucking vampire? She knew vampire can't do without blood and one day she would become Dominic's prey.

"Is that why you fooled me?"

"What do you mean, Celine?"

"You wanted my blood and so you fooled me into get married to you just to kill me afterwards?" She was now in tears. Why was her life so full of troubles?

"Believe me, Celine. That's not it." He tried to touch her but she raised a finger at him.

"Don't you dare touch me!" Celine yelled, her veins rising. "I hate you so much, Dominic Davenport!"

"There's more you need to know Celine." He tried to explain things to her but she wasn't ready to listen.

"I don't want to listen to you! Just leave me the heck alone! I hate you! So much!" Celine's tears became uncontrollable as it flowed down freely, wetting her clothes.

She walked out of him, dragging her feet behind her cause she couldn't walk normally. She was about to squeak the door open when Dominic pulled her arm.

"Let me go!" She screamed, giving him a slap across the face.

His eyes turned red as he was provoked and he grabbed her arm. "Listen to me, Celine!"

Celine cringed, frightened already. Dominic's angry nature was one anyone would do his or her best to avoid. Whenever his anger rose even the atmosphere would turn hot all of a sudden and the pillars would would be shaken to its foundation. That's the exact thing that was happening now.

Dominic's blood was boiling right now but he just had to control himself. He calmed himself down and breathed in and out before facing Celine who was still struck with fear.

"Celine... I'm sorry. You got me angry."

Celine saw the dire news to leave Dominic, just as she had said, he was a very dangerous man and he has proved that to him in many ways already.

"Please, Dominic. Please let me go." Celine wanted to walk out of his life and never come back.

"No, Celine. You're not going to leave me." He said, his expression calm but yet his voice was firm. Without notice, he made her come closer to himself and he engaged them in a long passionate kiss, one Dominic didn't want to break from.

Celine wanted to push him away but he only deepened the kiss, his hands caressing her body. Celine felt hot all of a sudden and she didn't want anything to happen between them again, so she broke from the kiss.

She ran out of the house, she would walk out of his life, quit her job and go somewhere far away from him. Faraway from a man who only married her to satisfy his selfish desires.

But just as she was about to exit the gate, she could feel her head spinning, causing a great headache as the pain from the injury coursed through her veins.

She couldn't feel her legs anymore. Then, she fell to the floor and there was a blackout.
