Chapter 132: Terrifying Monster

-----

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The ground of Marineford split apart as seismic shockwaves surged toward Blackbeard and his crew.

BOOM!

"Ughhhhh!"

"Arghhhhh!"

The devastating power of the Quake-Quake Fruit struck Blackbeard's group with such ferocity that it felt like their internal organs were tearing apart. Blood gushed from their mouths as they cried out in pain.

Across Marineford, and even the surrounding seas, the tremors wreaked havoc. The earth roared, the ocean howled, and massive sections of the ground fractured. Buildings were reduced to rubble, and even the mighty Marine Headquarters was completely destroyed. The chaos raged for what felt like an eternity before it finally subsided.

"This… is the power of the strongest Paramecia, the Quake-Quake Fruit?"

Clenching his fist, Uchiha Kitaro felt a surge of exhilaration.

"Ha… Haha… Hahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

Floating in mid-air, arms spread wide, Kitaro laughed maniacally. His voice echoed across Marineford, asserting his dominion like an overlord reigning supreme over the world.

Admiral Aokiji's face darkened as he muttered, "The most terrifying monster in the world… has been born."

Kitaro already possessed unparalleled speed and strength, supreme swordsmanship, and that massive energy giant technique. He could fly, and now he wielded the power of the Quake-Quake Fruit.

Even Admiral Kizaru, usually nonchalant about everything, had lost his carefree demeanor. The realization hit hard: until now, Kitaro hadn't consumed any Devil Fruits. But now, with the Quake-Quake Fruit added to his arsenal, he had become something utterly terrifying—no, beyond terrifying.

"Damn criminal!" snarled Akainu, his face contorted with fury. To him, Kitaro was trampling on the very concept of justice.

"Things have really spiraled out of control now," said Doflamingo, no longer smiling. The situation had gone far beyond his expectations. With Kitaro consuming the Quake-Quake Fruit, a man who was already a monstrous force had become an even greater threat.

Hawkeye Mihawk turned to leave.

"Where are you going, Mihawk? Not staying to watch the show? This is the most exciting part," Doflamingo teased.

Mihawk didn't even glance back. "I'm leaving. This is no longer a battlefield where I belong. Take my advice—if you don't want to get caught up in this, leave now."

Doflamingo clicked his tongue but acknowledged the truth in Mihawk's words. The coming battle between the Navy's top brass—three Admirals, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, and the Hero of the Navy, Garp—against Kitaro would be nothing short of apocalyptic.

"Let's go!" Doflamingo said as he strode away with his signature swagger. Getting caught in the crossfire wasn't part of his plan.

Meanwhile, Blackbeard's expression was grim, his eyes bloodshot with rage. "Damn it! It was all supposed to be mine—power, glory, everything!"

"Captain, we have to leave!" Lafitte urged.

"There's still a chance if we retreat now. If we don't, there won't be any chance at all!"

Van Augur added, "He's right, Captain. Someone like him will inevitably become a target for the world. When we're stronger, we can take our revenge!"

Burgess joined in, "Exactly! There are countless powerful Devil Fruits in this world. The Quake-Quake Fruit is only called the strongest because Whitebeard wielded it. What truly matters isn't the fruit, but the one who uses it."

Blackbeard took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. He understood better than anyone just how terrifying Kitaro was. Even if he'd obtained the Quake-Quake Fruit, he still wouldn't stand a chance against him now—especially since Kitaro had already consumed it.

Charging at Kitaro now would be nothing short of suicide. His crew was right; as long as they survived, there would always be other opportunities.

"Let's go!" Blackbeard barked, leading his crew in a hasty retreat. Their plan had failed, and staying any longer was pointless.

Yet as they fled, Blackbeard couldn't shake the feeling that Kitaro had no intention of killing him—almost as if he were letting him live.

Having lost not one but two powerful Devil Fruits to Kitaro, Blackbeard's hatred burned hotter than ever.

"Damn you, Uchiha Kitaro! One day, I'll make you pay for this!"

Meanwhile, on a nearby Navy warship…

"Marine Headquarters…"

"It's been destroyed…"

The marines stared blankly at the scene before them.

Marineford, long hailed as the last bastion of peace and justice in the Great Pirate Era, was now in ruins. Its destruction symbolized a shattering blow to the Navy's morale.

"Don't be afraid!"

A booming voice cut through their despair.

"This fortress can be rebuilt!" declared Fleet Admiral Sengoku. "But the island of Marineford, located at the heart of the world, holds immense symbolic meaning for the people who fear the chaos of pirates!

"As long as the flames of justice burn in our hearts, the Navy will never fall!"

Sengoku's words reignited a spark of hope among the marines. He was right—justice wouldn't waver, and as long as they upheld it, the Navy would stand tall.

Turning to Garp, Sengoku spoke in a low, urgent tone. "Garp! This time, we must fight with everything we have. The Navy cannot afford to lose!"

Garp nodded solemnly. "I understand."

He thought back to Kitaro, the young man he'd met in Water 7. Back then, despite the bounty on his head, Garp had admired Kitaro's potential.

But who could have imagined that in such a short time, that young man would become this colossal force? No—perhaps he had always been such a force, and they had simply underestimated him.

Swoosh!

Sengoku's body began to grow rapidly, transforming into a giant golden Buddha.

Garp coated his arms in Haki, the darkened steel glinting ominously.

The stage was set.

The true war atop the world was about to begin.
