Chapter 47: Fat Maniac

Jovana could read in their expressions that they were not just exchanging formalities. The King was clearly enjoying himself too much for that, and there was something more beneath Falcon's apparent aloofness. 'I need to know what's going on out there. If the King finds out who Liam Ridley really is, we are all dead.'

"Jovana, as your elder brother, I just want to make sure—" Elijah trailed off when Jovana gave him a stern look and brought her index finger to her lips, signaling him to stay quiet. He followed her gaze to the window and noticed what was happening outside.

"What's going on out there is more important than my honor… I need to know what the King is saying. Can you cover me?" Jovana said, giving Elijah a pleading look, and he sighed as he nodded in agreement, then positioned himself to give her cover from the other guests. Jovana leaned near the window, shielded by the drapes, and listened.

"You need to understand, dear. What's the name again?"
