Chapter 41: You Are Mine!

Without saying a word, Caspian ignored her and Keith, approaching Falcon. He removed the cloth from the fabric, cleaned the wound, and examined it. "The bullet is still inside," Caspian commented as he reached for an internal pocket of his jacket and took out a long, thin surgical plier.

"What are you doing, Caspian? He's–" Jovana trailed off when the Duke silenced her.

"Ssssh! Give me a minute," Caspian said as he rolled up his sleeves and inserted the pliers deep into the wound. He closed his eyes and focused, trying to feel the bullet. "Come on, where are you?" Caspian murmured while Jovana watched him with a bewildered expression. She didn't know what to think anymore, but she knew she was very close to fainting.

"Caspian, what are you doing?" Jovana said, feeling exasperated by his actions, while Caspian silenced her again. He frowned as he kept searching for the bullet until...
