Chapter 37: The Abyssal Accord

Daniel and Mira emerged from the Obsidian Sanctum, the Abyssal Core pulsing faintly in Daniel's possession. The waters outside felt heavier, almost suffocating, as if the Abyss itself was displeased by their intrusion.

"We need to move quickly," Mira said, glancing over her shoulder. Her tone was sharp, urgency coloring her words. "The core's energy is too strong. It won't stay unnoticed for long."

Daniel nodded, but his thoughts were elsewhere. The new system functionality, Abyssal Resonance, had appeared in his interface, but its purpose remained a mystery.

"System, explain Abyssal Resonance," he said, breaking the silence.

The system chimed, its tone neutral:

[Abyssal Resonance: Allows the user to attune with Abyssal artifacts and energies, unlocking latent potential. WARNING: Prolonged use may destabilize the user's core structure.]

"Destabilize?" Daniel echoed, a note of alarm creeping into his voice.
