In the library.
After arriving, Yuto headed straight to the third floor's Steel-type Moves section.
Ryoma, however, did not follow and went to the Grass-type Pokémon section on his own.
He currently possessed both a Moon Stone and a Sun Stone. The Moon Stone, if nothing unexpected happened, would definitely be used for evolving either a Nidoking or Nidoqueen.
As for the extra Sun Stone, he needed to think it over carefully.
If he intended to fully commit to the Sandstorm Team strategy, then Heliolisk with its Sand Veil ability would absolutely be the best choice.
Moreover, Heliolisk, being an Electric and Normal-type Pokémon, would greatly enhance the attribute distribution of the Sandstorm Team, providing more coverage options.
However, similar to Pyroar, Heliolisk was exceedingly rare domestically. Without special means, it would be nearly impossible to obtain.
So if he ruled out Heliolisk, he thought Bellossom could be a good option. Although it might not easily fit into the Sandstorm Team structure, its powerful support and healing capabilities were unique among the members of the Sandstorm Team.
Additionally, Bellossom's hidden ability is Healer, which has the magical power to heal the status conditions of its teammates.
Along with the group healing move Grassy Terrain that the Oddish line could learn, it would definitely play a significant role in dangerous wilderness situations!
Finally, Oddish is not difficult to obtain; as a gentle Grass-type Pokémon, it is not heavily regulated by the Alliance. Many Pokémon breeding farms cultivate this species extensively. With some money, one can easily buy it in specialty Pokémon stores.
With his plans in mind, Ryoma went directly to the bookshelf dedicated to the Oddish line and began reviewing relevant breeding knowledge.
As a relatively easy-to-care-for Grass-type Pokémon, raising Oddish is truly simple; they just need sunlight and soil to thrive.
Additionally, as Grass-type Pokémon, they naturally learn Absorb-type moves, allowing them to absorb nutrients for growth from other living beings. For them, growing stronger through battle might be an excellent method.
As time passed, both were immersed in the sea of books until dawn broke the next day.
When they finally left the library, Yuto looked excited, clearly inspired by a night of knowledge.
After having breakfast at a diner, a few men in black suddenly appeared at the entrance.
"Young Master, these are the Pokémon you instructed us to bring over yesterday."
One of the men in black stepped up to Yuto and respectfully handed over two Poké Balls.
"Thank you, Tanaka-oji, and here's Charizard's Poké Ball as well. I appreciate it," Yuto said happily as he took the Poké Balls.
"Rest assured, Young Master. We have arranged a Pokémon rehabilitation center for Charizard, and I believe it will recover quickly," Tanaka-oji nodded, taking Charizard's Poké Ball and stepping back.
Ryoma clicked his tongue at this; having a specialized Pokémon rehabilitation center is truly a perk of wealth.
"Alright, now that we have the two Pokémon for our experiment, let's get started!" Yuto said excitedly, holding the two Poké Balls, completely ignoring any fatigue from staying up all night.
"Let's go! Today, I'm also quite literally risking my life for you," Ryoma shrugged, following Yuto towards the Laboratory Building.
Upon arriving at the Laboratory Building, Ryoma used Sato Professor's assistant card to access one of the laboratories.
Typically, students would have to pay to use the laboratory, but Ryoma had free access.
Ah, yet another benefit that would surely cause envy among others!
"Let's go, Magneton and Donphan!"
Once inside the laboratory, Yuto threw the two Poké Balls, and Magneton and Donphan were released with a flash of white light.
It seemed Magneton hadn't seen Yuto for some time; upon spotting its master, it immediately affectionately leaned in, rubbing its metallic body against Yuto's cheek.
Donphan, on the other hand, was much calmer. It had been the one accompanying Yuto during the previous Rollout experiments, so a few days apart was nothing.
"Ryoma, let's have Donphan work with Sandshrew for this experiment."
"And Magneton, you'll be the trainer for Gyro Ball during this time, which will provide more reference for the experiment."
Quickly, Yuto gave commands for the next plans involving the two Pokémon, which were quite reasonable.
"Sandshrew, you'll be a big help during this time."
"As a reward, aside from your daily Pokémon food, I'll cover any other snacks you want! Just let me know what you'd like!"
Sandshrew: o(≧ ≦)o.
"Then I'll leave Sandshrew in your hands."
Seeing Sandshrew getting tempted by the food, Ryoma couldn't help but roll his eyes. He then took out a book borrowed from the library and settled into a corner to read.
After finishing all preparations, Yuto began the experiment.
Yuto skillfully rummaged around the equipment room and soon found a helmet designed to test move power, placing it on Donphan's head.
"Sandshrew, you start with Rapid Spin. I need to test the normal recoil."
As the research began, Yuto transformed, holding various instruments with an air of an expert scholar!
Upon hearing the command, Sandshrew nodded and executed Rapid Spin, spinning in place.
Then, under Yuto's command, Donphan charged in with Tackle.
Boom!
With a loud crash, Donphan was knocked back by Rapid Spin, and the numbers on the testing instrument attached to Donphan's helmet began to fluctuate wildly.
Seeing this, Yuto quickly approached to record the numbers, then directed Sandshrew to use Gyro Ball, adjusting the rotational speed to nearly match that of Rapid Spin at his request.
Immediately, Donphan used Tackle again, and this time, Donphan was sent reeling backwards, with the numbers on the measuring instrument jumping erratically, indicating values several times greater than before!
"What powerful recoil!"
Yuto's eyes lit up even brighter, and he commanded Donphan to accelerate and charge again.
Boom!
With another loud crash, Donphan was sent flying back again, barely stabilizing itself. The numbers on the measuring instrument were undoubtedly even higher than before!
Yuto's eyes sparkled as he began to conduct experiments feverishly, measuring and calculating relentlessly.
During this period, Ryoma walked over for a glance and saw the various formulas written down on paper, completely baffled as if it were some indecipherable script!
