With a brief nod, Leonora stood from her seat. "I suppose I should go," she said quietly, her voice tinged with reluctance. "I'll talk to you later, Evelina. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do just fine with Leone."

Evelina nodded, though her heart felt heavy at the thought of Leonora leaving. It seemed there were layers to this family that she hadn't yet begun to understand. Leonora's easy laughter and playful demeanor had concealed a vulnerability that now felt impossible to ignore.

Leonora paused at the door, glancing back over her shoulder with a small, but sincere, smile. "Remember, you're not alone in this. Take care of yourself too, okay?"

Evelina's heart softened, her thoughts momentarily distracted by Leonora's warmth. "I will," she replied, offering a small smile in return.
