"You should be asking that to your daughter," Rubina retorted in frustration. Ever since she was called this pathetic woman's daughter, she had stopped letting her help. She was distancing herself from her like the plague.

Rivana watched the scene carefully, her eyes darting from Rubina to Amerie. There was a flicker of sadness crossing over her so-called mother's face as if she was hurt before it morphed into anger. Mallory agreed with Amerie. "She is right, Ruby. Don't fall for this evil girl's tricks."
