Chapter 52: Testamentary Will

Back in the hospital ward, Azrael frowned at the doctor's explanation. If Emmerich was sick, he was sure that man would have gone to the best hospital in the world to save his life. He wouldn't stop even if he had to find a heart donor for himself—that was his personality. But he gave up without trying? Or was there no way to save him?

Azrael came out of his thoughts when Rivana's grip loosened around his hand. He saw her losing her balance and quickly supported her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

Rivana closed her eyes and tried to compose herself. Tears threatened to break free, but she stopped them. There was no one else in the room in a state to prepare for his farewell, and she decided to take that step.
