Special: Ripple energy (LV1).

Dudley had a pretty interesting mix of skills! While magic wasn't in the cards for him just yet, he was picking up all sorts of other talents, thanks to his daily meals and experiences.

The system had a little chat with Dudley, saying, "You need a solid foundation of knowledge to become a spellcaster."

That made sense to Dudley, and he was totally on board with it!

With all this and his own hard work, Dudley was shaping up to be quite the academic superstar.

Oh, and just a heads up: while he could level up his skills through experience from meals, the special skills needed a bit more personal effort to grow.

Dudley wasn't sure what the highest level of abilities was, but he felt pretty confident with his LV3 boxing skills, which were already helping him shine in some fancy schools.

As for strength and agility, he didn't have much to compare it to, but he figured he was doing alright. At least when it came to strength, Dudley never backed down from a challenge!

When he got a system notification, he was thrilled to see his magic power jump from 0 to 0.5.

Even though it was just a tiny bit, it felt like a huge milestone for him—progress from nothing to something!

"Could it be that I really have the talent of a magician?" Dudley thought, his heart racing with excitement.

He remembered hearing about Shinji Matou, who had some issues with his magic circuits. If he could just break through those barriers, he could use magic too!

The system encouraged him, saying, "Keep working hard to activate more magic circuits or add magical engravings, and you'll be the strongest spellcaster in no time!"

Dudley picked up on some key phrases there.

"If I have magic power, does that mean I can be a magician too?"

He imagined himself strolling through Hogwarts, wand in one hand and spellbook in the other.

But then he noticed he was still labeled as a 'Muggle (true)' with just 0.5 magic power.

He knew he had to take things one step at a time, so for now, he decided to focus on potions.

Three months flew by, and Dudley had turned into a total bookworm, devouring Mrs. Figg's entire collection of magic books. While there weren't a ton of them, most were perfect for first-year students.

Mrs. Figg wasn't the best at picking out books, so some of them left Dudley scratching his head. But thanks to her, he was no longer a total newbie when it came to magic!

"Alright, kids, time to head home!" The Dursleys arrived, and this time, Harry was with them.

Vernon had just landed a big deal and was feeling pretty proud of himself, which meant the Dursleys were about to enjoy a little upgrade in their lifestyle.

They had been worried Dudley wouldn't eat well at Mrs. Figg's, but seeing him looking stronger put those worries to rest.

With his current build, Dudley could easily pass for a high school football player, even though he was only in fourth grade!

And it wasn't just Dudley who had changed; Vernon's belly had grown quite a bit too, a clear sign that life was treating him well.

Dudley couldn't help but think about getting Vernon to join him for some exercise—after all, being too heavy isn't great for anyone's health!

Before leaving, Dudley reluctantly returned the book "Potions and Elixirs" to Mrs. Figg. It was such a fantastic introduction to magic, covering potions and even some tips on defending against dark magic. Every time he read it, he learned something new, and it quickly became his favorite!

"Since you like it so much, take it with you," Mrs. Figg said, handing the book back to Dudley.

To her, it was just a book, and she could always get another one.

But Dudley politely declined.

He had already memorized most of it, and Mrs. Figg's house was close enough that he could pop over anytime he wanted to read it again. Plus, he knew the Dursleys weren't fans of magic, and he didn't want to upset Petunia.

Dudley was a good kid and wanted to keep the peace, so he decided to keep quiet about magic until he could ease Petunia's worries.

He believed that day would come soon enough.

As night fell, the world outside was calm, with only the soft glow of streetlights and stars lighting up the dark sky.

The street was quiet, with a few dogs sniffing around the bins and the distant sound of a car fading into the night. Occasionally, a night bird would chirp from the branches. The moon hung high, casting a gentle silver light that made everything feel cozy and magical.

While Harry and the Dursleys were lost in sweet dreams, Dudley was busy in his room on the second floor, boiling something in a cauldron. His table was filled with all sorts of lab equipment—beakers, graduated cylinders, test tubes, and more.

Since he couldn't use an open flame in his room, he was making do with an induction cooker. Dudley had bought all the equipment from a chemical supply store, and he was diligently recording his experimental results in a notebook.

Honestly, while wizard magic is amazing, potion brewing could be a bit old-fashioned and not very scientific.

As he stirred the green-brown liquid in the crucible, it slowly transformed into a light blue color, and a satisfied smile spread across Dudley's face—he had done it!

Carefully, he scooped the liquid into test tubes, corked them, and stored them away.

Once he finished, he let out a sigh of relief.

After days of hard work and little sleep, he had finally succeeded. Looking at the ocean-blue liquid in the test tube, Dudley felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him.
