Chapter 67: Ch 67: The demands - Part 1

Anabella opened her eyes as soon as her body felt the need to get up. She had slept more than 12 hours, which felt like a new record.

She wanted to go back to sleep, but the small ache her head was developing told her that she needed to wake up and get ready for the day.

It was still before 08:00 in the morning, so Anabella was not that worried about being called lazy. 

But as soon as she went down, she wished she had taken a little longer to get up. Her mother-in-law was sitting on the guest sofa, and she had a calm expression.

However, the older lady never visited just because she wanted to. This visit must have been planned, and she was here to speak to someone about something.

Anabella tried to return to her room quickly, but her mother-in-law caught her at the last second.

Their eyes met, and Anabella knew she could not go back now. She had to head downstairs to entertain her mother-in-law.
