The dinner table was silent, and James watched as the older omega moved the fork around her plate but did not pick up the food to eat.
Her eyes looked distant, and she was not looking at anything as she picked at her food.
"Mother, are you not going to eat your food? Are you not hungry? You did not eat anything for lunch either."
James asked as he looked at his mother's still full plate.
His plate was almost empty, but he could not feel the taste of his food.
At this point, James is eating his food more for survival than waiting because he likes it.
His mother made an irritated face before she schooled her features and pushed her plate away from herself.
"I am not hungry. I think I will retire in the night. I don't feel like eating much."
Sharon spoke almost sharply before she realized the person she was talking to was her almost step-kid, and her voice softened.
