Chapter 34: Hey Mother, I'm Home!

Kai spent the last bit of his travels home thinking over his upcoming journey.

He would have 3 days to spend with his mother and Est. He wondered how they were doing with Khazi's death for a little bit, but found it hard to keep interest in that subject. As far as he was concerned, Khazi was gone and there was nothing that could be done about it. They had to push through and become strong because Kai couldn't live in a world without them.

'Even after all this power, that is all that's left of me, huh? Revenge, family, some weird need to help others. I should be more selfish, eh? That is something Shuzen could help me with. Though, I'd hate to be such a horrible person as him.' Kai laughed as he watched his flames fight on the ceiling.

It was a neat little game he had found out about– he could turn his fire into innocent little objects. In this case, they were 2 soldiers fighting to the death.
