Asha still felt a little groggy and weak, but she now had a much clearer understanding of what was happening around her. Apparently, after witnessing the shocking events involving Gildendusk, she had fainted, slipping into a deep sleep that lasted until they reached the capital of the Viscounty.
What surprised her most upon waking wasn't the grand, unfamiliar surroundings or the opulent furnishings of the estate. It was discovering that she had a family, a large, extended family. She had a grandmother, cousins, aunts, and uncles she had never known existed. To think that such a vibrant and interconnected group of people was out there, entirely unknown to her until now, was almost overwhelming. The thought of an extended family in such a strange and distant place was both thrilling and nerve-wracking.
Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed. Give me your thoughts in the comments about the pacing is it too slow or maybe even too fast? Let me know and see you soon, sincerely Skelly
