Blood. Lots of it. All over the floor, my clothes, and my hands.

The man tied to the chair coughed out more blood, his eyes swollen and near blind while his body was battered beyond recognition.

"Let's try this again" I huffed, flexing my aching knuckles.

We'd been at it for hours and he was the last person who was still alive. I ended up killing the others when they didn't give me the answer I wanted.

The sound of him wheezing brought my attention back to him and I circled him, watching him with dark eyes, adrenaline rushing through my veins as I stared him down like a predator would.

His head was lulled back to a weird angle and blood was steadily streaming from his mouth, he was one step away from death and he knew it, I had kept him on the brink for hours, hitting him in places that would hurt but wouldn't kill him. At least not for now.
