It was moments like these that made Luo Qing appreciate Makoto even more.

Her timely intervention to get Ayaka to leave had him feeling so moved, he nearly teared up.

Did I save the universe in my past life to deserve someone so kind and capable?

But then Makoto had once casually mentioned that there were three more women just like her.

Tsk...

Once Makoto led Ayaka away, Luo Qing could no longer hold back. He flipped open the blanket and swiftly dealt with Theresa's mischief, punishing her thoroughly for the way she'd been teasing him earlier.

By the time he was finished, Theresa was left red-faced and exhausted, clutching her stomach as she staggered upstairs, using the wall for support.

Feeling immensely better, Luo Qing settled down on the sofa, donned his Akasha Terminal, and drifted off to sleep.

Tonight was the Sabzeruz Festival, and, according to the timeline, it would also be the night when Azar initiated the Endless Dream project, using the collective wisdom of Sumeru's citizens to further the god-creation plan.

To ensure his wives didn't get caught up in the mess, Luo Qing had Makoto remind everyone to remove their Akasha Terminals before bed.

As for Luo Qing himself, his top-level Akasha access rendered him immune to the terminal's data-extraction protocols.

With a thought, Luo Qing's consciousness entered the Akasha Network.

The dream had already begun. Wasting no time, Luo Qing dove into the fabricated dreamscape, searching for Lumine.

The familiar scene of the Grand Bazaar unfolded before him. Lumine and her companions were chatting with Dunyarzad, just as they had been during the day. And there he was, too—dream-Luo Qing, surrounded by his six "wives."

Seeing himself from an outsider's perspective, Luo Qing couldn't help but admit the sight was striking.

To the average person, just having one of these women would be a dream come true. But six at once?

Maybe I am a little scummy...

As the dream reset and looped back to the beginning, everything seemed unchanged—same people, same conversations.

The only one who seemed to notice something was off was Lumine, though her realization had nothing to do with Luo Qing.

He wasn't here to guide her, anyway. He was here to find Nahida.

It had been some time since Luo Qing last encountered Nahida. The vivid dreamscape he had initially used to draw her attention was no longer functioning as bait.

Worse, his Godhood Exchange privileges had been revoked after Azar blacklisted him.

Locating Nahida took only a moment, her presence like a beacon within the dream.

The little Dendro Archon was wandering the Grand Bazaar, seemingly unnoticed by all. Her subtle aura ensured no one could perceive her unless she allowed it.

With a thought, Luo Qing materialized next to her.

"Long time no see, Nahida," he greeted casually.

"Eh?"

Nahida turned around, startled. She had been eyeing the desserts at a nearby stall but was now met with the sight of Luo Qing smiling at her.

"Luo Qing? What are you doing here?"

"I live in Sumeru. Why wouldn't I be here?" Luo Qing chuckled, reaching out to ruffle her hair.

There was just something uniquely satisfying about patting a silver-haired, green-eyed loli on the head.

"That's not what I meant..." Nahida muttered, shaking her head. Her eyes filled with suspicion.

"Wait... you're not part of this dream, are you? You're the real Luo Qing!"

"Why, have you met a fake me before?"

"Well... no, but how are you here?"

Nahida was genuinely puzzled.

Everyone else in the dream should have been a mere projection of their real selves, their consciousness extracted through the Akasha. Yet Luo Qing, like her, seemed to exist independently of the dream's constructs.

"It's because I'm special," Luo Qing teased with a grin, continuing to tousle her soft hair.

"Anyway, what brings you here, Nahida? Looking to chat with Lumine, perhaps?"

"Um..."

Nahida looked down, embarrassed. Her silence confirmed his guess.

"It seems our little Dendro God is finally ready to return to Sumeru, huh?" Luo Qing said playfully.

"Luo Qing, I haven't thought that far yet!" Nahida protested, her cheeks puffing slightly.

"No rush. One step at a time," Luo Qing replied, patting her head once more. "Alright, I have other things to take care of. You go on ahead, and I'll catch up later."

"Wait—"

Before Nahida could finish, Luo Qing's projection vanished.

"How did he..."

Nahida stood frozen, a hint of awe in her expression.

How does he have higher Akasha permissions than I do?

As the Archon of Wisdom, Nahida should have been the system's highest authority. Even Azar, for all his scheming, could have his access revoked by her at any moment.

But somehow, Luo Qing—a foreigner from Snezhnaya—had obtained permissions that surpassed even hers.

The only way for someone to achieve higher authority than me would be if they possessed the Heart of the Dendro God... or if they had some connection to the previous Archon.

"Is it... her?"

---

Meanwhile, in the Akasha Network

Luo Qing shifted his focus, pinpointing Azar's location.

That smug Grand Sage had ruined the festival earlier and had even fabricated Luo Qing and his wives into the dreamscape. It was time to teach him a lesson.

---

Elsewhere

Azar was in the Sumeru Ceremonial Workshop, collaborating with Dottore to deconstruct Ei's Gnosis and fuse it with Scaramouche.

Suddenly, Azar stiffened, his expression blank, before collapsing onto the control panel.

"What is this?"

Dottore frowned, motioning for one of his assistants to check on him.

"What happened to him?"

"Doctor, it seems the Grand Sage has fallen asleep..."

"Asleep?"

Dottore's frown deepened.

How could anyone sleep at such a critical juncture in the god-creation project?

"Wake him up."

"Yes, sir."

The assistant shook Azar, but there was no response.

"Doctor, he's... sleeping very soundly."

"Slap him awake, then."

The assistant hesitated but complied, delivering two sharp slaps.

Azar remained unresponsive.

"Doctor, he still won't wake up..."

"..."

"Forget it. Move him aside. I'll handle the directives."

"Yes, sir."

Unbeknownst to the workshop team, Azar's consciousness had been dragged into a surreal dreamscape.

On an endless grassland, a desperate and terrified Azar was being chased by a pack of beastmen.

This time, however, it wasn't just female beastmen pursuing him. Towering male beastmen—each standing several meters tall—had joined the hunt.

One wrong step, and he'd be... utterly devoured.

Chapter 252: This Trainee Fatui Harbinger is Too Unreliable [252] [400 PS]

Reader, thanks to your unwavering support, we've prepared these bonus chapters for you. I hope they bring you joy!

---

After dealing with Azar, Luo Qing's consciousness returned to the dreamscape.

By now, the dream had looped countless times. Lumine and Paimon had started noticing the repetitive cycles and, with Nahida's subtle guidance, began piecing together the truth of the dream.

Unlike the others trapped in the dream, Nahida existed outside its constraints. Her consciousness functioned like an audience watching a play, observing Lumine and Paimon navigate the endless loops.

Whenever Lumine seemed confused, Nahida would project a version of herself into the dream to provide hints and guidance.

The Lumine and Paimon they saw, however, were merely constructs within the dream—shadows of their true selves.

Nahida's real body remained outside the dream, silently observing.

"Making progress?"

Luo Qing's consciousness reappeared beside Nahida.

"They're quite the fascinating pair of travelers," Nahida said softly, a faint smile gracing her lips.

Even after brief interactions in the dream, she found herself moved by Lumine and Paimon's unwavering bond and lively spirit.

No matter how daunting the situation, their camaraderie and determination seemed to promise a way forward.

...Even if Paimon wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Conversations with her could be a little... taxing.

"Well, when all this is over, you should meet them in person," Luo Qing said casually. "Maybe even share a good meal together."

"Luo Qing..." Nahida murmured.

She understood his suggestion: to step into the real world, to exist in Sumeru as more than a fleeting presence in dreams.

But for someone like Nahida, who had been gaslit by the Akademiya for so long, taking such a step required immense courage.

For now, it still felt too far out of reach.

"Luo Qing," she said after a moment's hesitation, her voice quiet yet uncertain. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Why are you helping me like this?"

Nahida tilted her head slightly, her emerald eyes glimmering with confusion. "You're a Harbinger of Snezhnaya, aren't you?"

By all accounts, Luo Qing seemed trustworthy—a friend, even. But the fact that he was a Fatui Harbinger remained an undeniable barrier, given the tensions between Snezhnaya and the other nations.

"To my knowledge, the Fatui operate on strict principles of equivalent exchange. So, Luo Qing... what is it you want in return?"

"Such a clever little Dendro Archon," Luo Qing teased, ruffling her hair again as he leaned in closer.

"Of course, I have my reasons."

"...I see."

Nahida's disappointment was palpable.

If he had said something like, "Helping a friend is its own reward," she might have let him continue patting her head.

But now...

"What do you want, Luo Qing?"

Though her small stature and soft demeanor made her seem like a child, Nahida had lived for five centuries. She knew how to conduct herself in a negotiation.

Taking two steps back, she straightened her posture and adopted a serious expression.

No more head pats during negotiations—it ruins the atmosphere.

"What do I want?" Luo Qing echoed, a little amused.

This was the first time he'd seen Nahida so serious.

She had always been his gentle, thoughtful little Archon, but now she looked like a proper ruler.

Still cute, though, he thought.

"Well, Nahida," he began, his tone light but deliberate.

"I want... you."

"Eh?"

"...Your Gnosis."

Nahida fell silent.

For a moment, she thought he'd meant something else entirely. But now it seemed he was no different from the other Fatui Harbingers—seeking her Gnosis as part of their schemes.

"It's not with me anymore," she said quietly.

"I know. It's in the Akademiya's hands," Luo Qing replied nonchalantly. "But I'm not interested in negotiating with those self-righteous hypocrites. You're the rightful owner of the Gnosis, aren't you?"

"..."

Nahida lowered her gaze.

Ever since learning the truth about her divine nature, she had worked tirelessly to be a proper Archon.

But now, she wasn't even sure if she deserved to reclaim the Gnosis.

"So, let me guess," Nahida said, piecing it together. "You've been helping me—encouraging me to break free and lead Sumeru—just so you could negotiate for the Gnosis."

Before Luo Qing came along, Nahida had known only isolation and the Akademiya's relentless gaslighting.

His kindness had felt so genuine, like that of an older brother.

But now, the idea that all his actions were calculated filled her heart with a quiet sadness.

"It's not entirely like that," Luo Qing said, reaching out to pat her head again.

But Nahida deftly stepped back, dodging his hand.

"No head pats," her expression seemed to say.

"If I were only after the Gnosis," Luo Qing continued, "I'd just take it."

His voice was calm but carried an undertone of confidence.

"The Akademiya's defenses wouldn't stop me. They're just a bunch of academics with barely any real combat power. I could take on their entire armed division and barely break a sweat."

For someone of Luo Qing's caliber, defeating the Akademiya was less about physical might and more about leveraging his mastery over the Akasha and his psychic manipulation abilities.

Compared to nations like Liyue and Inazuma, Sumeru's defenses were laughably feeble.

Nahida didn't respond, her silence weighted with thought.

For the first time, she saw a glimpse of the ruthless Fatui Harbinger beneath Luo Qing's usual playful demeanor.

His words were true—the Akademiya's reliance on intellectual prowess left them vulnerable to individuals like him.

"Speaking of which," Luo Qing said, his tone suddenly playful as he leaned in. "Nahida, what if I told you... if you don't leave that cage soon, I'll start killing one Sumeru citizen every day?

"I'll kill the men and sell the women. What would you do then?"

"...!"

Nahida's eyes widened, her mind reeling.

"I..."

"Luo Qing, I won't let you hurt my people!" she said firmly, her expression hardening.

For the first time, her gaze carried the resolve of a god willing to stand against even her closest allies to protect her nation.

"Relax, I'm joking." Luo Qing grinned, chuckling as he ruffled her hair in one swift move.

"See? That's the spirit. You've got the resolve to protect your people. So why let those Akademiya fools keep you in a cage?

"Listen to me, Nahida. Tomorrow, step out of that cage, take down Azar, and reclaim your place as the ruler of Sumeru. What do you say?"

"...?"
