Chapter 236: This Trainee Fatui Harbinger is Too Unreliable [236]

At the entrance of the Grand Bazaar

Luo Qing's heart was a tangled mess of emotions like never before.

Facing the two dazzling figures before him, he found himself at a loss for how to respond. Turning his head slightly, he cast a glance at Lumine and Paimon, the apparent culprits, standing off to the side and refusing to approach.

Across from him, Ganyu stood with a shy, somewhat awkward demeanor, her eyes soft yet filled with unease. Beside her, Shenhe gripped her polearm tightly, her brow furrowed as if she were far from pleased.

The two groups stood there in silence.

Though the sounds of street vendors hawking their goods and passersby's conversations filled the air, to Luo Qing, the world had never felt so still.

"Luo Qing, it's been... a while," Ganyu finally broke the silence, her voice soft and gentle but tinged with a trace of melancholy.

For some reason, seeing Luo Qing holding another woman's hand so intimately—like an old married couple—left her with an inexplicable hollow feeling, as if something precious had been stolen from her.

"It has been a while," Luo Qing replied politely. But before he could say more, Shenhe raised her polearm and, in an instant, pointed it directly at his face.

"Luo Qing, who is she?" Shenhe demanded coldly, her voice loud and commanding enough to draw the attention of nearby passersby.

The sight of two stunning women confronting a man in the street, one with a weapon, caused a ripple of excitement among onlookers.

What a spectacle!

"Luo Qing, you asked me to live with you in Liyue, and I did. Why did you leave without saying a word?" Shenhe demanded. "Even Senior Sister has been waiting for you to return, yet you…"

The flood of questions quickly helped the gathered onlookers piece the story together.

So, this Luo Qing guy had apparently wooed both of these sisters back in Liyue, then ghosted them, leaving them pining for him.

And now, here he was, sweet-talking another woman—so much so that they'd even kissed!

What a scumbag.

Seeing the three breathtaking women standing there, many of the nearby men couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy and indignation.

Each of these women was a stunning beauty—how had Luo Qing managed to juggle three of them?

This guy is the worst.

[+1 Frustration Points from Luo Qing]

Casting a glance at the crowd of rubberneckers, Luo Qing's frustration only deepened. In a calm but firm tone, he said, "All of you, go about your business and forget everything you've seen here."

At his words, the bystanders' eyes suddenly went blank for a moment. Then, as if nothing had happened, they each returned to their tasks, ceasing to pay attention to Luo Qing's group.

"Shenhe, listen to me—" Luo Qing began, but the woman by his side interrupted him.

"Let me handle this," she said.

"Huh?" Luo Qing was momentarily stunned, but before he could process her words, she had released his wrist and stepped forward.

Replacing Luo Qing, the woman now stood calmly before Shenhe's polearm.

"Well, what's meant to come will come," she murmured to herself as she looked at the two icy sisters from Liyue.

Shenhe tightened her grip on her weapon. "Who are you?" she demanded coldly. For reasons she didn't fully understand, she felt hostility toward any woman who shared such intimacy with Luo Qing—except her Senior Sister.

"Who am I?" The woman chuckled softly, brushing a hand across her face.

In the next moment, her features began to shift before their very eyes—her bones and eyes morphing into an entirely new visage.

Ganyu, Lumine, and Paimon all widened their eyes in shock.

Ganyu was especially stunned. The transformed face bore a striking resemblance to the Electro Archon of Inazuma.

"You're..."

"Allow me to introduce myself," the woman said with a faint smile. Her presence suddenly exuded an undeniable aura of authority, causing Shenhe's polearm to tremble slightly.

"My name is Raiden Makoto. Or, if you prefer, you may call me Baal."

Her words sent shockwaves through Lumine and Paimon, who knew the truth.

Makoto... wasn't she supposed to have perished five hundred years ago in Khaenri'ah?

How could she suddenly be alive—and so intimately close to Luo Qing that they looked like a married couple?

"I've heard a lot about you two from Luo Qing," Makoto continued, her voice warm but with a subtle undertone that felt like a claim of sovereignty. "He said you're dear friends of his from Liyue. Why don't you join us at our home for dinner tonight?"

Home?

Both Ganyu and Shenhe were struck by her choice of words.

Luo Qing... when did he become yours?!

While Ganyu nervously bit her lip, too overwhelmed by Makoto's presence to respond, Shenhe refused to back down. Raising her polearm again, she demanded, "What is your relationship with Luo Qing?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Makoto said, smiling as she gently pushed Shenhe's weapon aside with a finger.

Looking Shenhe in the eye, she asked softly, "You like Luo Qing too, don't you?"

"I…" Shenhe's cheeks flushed a deep red, and her voice faltered.

Seizing the moment, Makoto leaned in close and whispered into her ear, "If you keep being so forceful, you'll only make things harder for Luo Qing. He might even start to lose his affection for you."

"..."

"Why not listen to me? Put the weapon down, alright?"

Without waiting for a response, Makoto raised her hand and gently pressed Shenhe's polearm downward.

"Much better," Makoto said with a radiant smile before turning to Ganyu. "Ganyu, dear, it's been such a long time! Tonight, we must catch up properly, alright?"

"You..."

Makoto's words and tone stirred something deep in Ganyu's memories—reminders of the Archons' gatherings long ago.

"Come now," Makoto said warmly, taking both Shenhe's and Ganyu's hands. "See that giant fish on Luo Qing's back? That's dinner. Whatever questions you have, we can discuss them over a good meal, alright?"

Makoto's infectious charm left the two women no room to refuse. After exchanging glances, Ganyu nodded hesitantly. "Then... we'll trouble you for tonight."

"Wonderful!" Makoto beamed.

She turned toward Lumine and Paimon, her gaze suddenly tinged with complexity. "You two should join us as well. What do you think?"

"Uh…" Lumine and Paimon froze, clearly caught off guard.

"W-We have other things to take care of!" Paimon stammered, gulping nervously.

"Y-Yeah, maybe next time. Enjoy that fish without us!"

Chapter 237: This Trainee Fatui Harbinger is Too Unreliable [237]

Evening

In her bedroom, Kamisato Ayaka stood before her mirror.

She gazed at her reflection, dressed in a sky-blue JK uniform. Her cheeks were tinged with a faint blush.

Pulling lightly at her collar and smoothing the hem of her skirt, she carefully ensured every detail was perfect. Finally, she patted her face softly and gave herself a firm nod.

"Yes!"

Tonight was the night she and Luo Qing had planned—she would be visiting his home.

The last time Luo Qing had snuck into her room, she'd caught a faint scent of another woman's perfume on him.

This left her with a heavy realization: there was a high likelihood that other women were already living in Luo Qing's house.

She had to dress her best tonight—no way could she afford to lose to anyone in terms of presence.

During their previous conversations, she had noticed that Luo Qing had a particular fondness for her in a JK uniform with a ponytail.

So tonight, she'd put it on just for him, planning to surprise him.

After calming the excitement in her heart, Ayaka turned to the pitch-black teleporting toilet, took a deep breath, and gently sat on it.

---

Meanwhile

Makoto, ever the self-proclaimed "queen of the household," managed to keep the encounter from escalating into a full-blown battlefield.

As they walked back to the house, she clung to Luo Qing's arm the entire way, perhaps as a way to assert her position.

Shenhe and Ganyu both felt a bitter pang in their hearts.

For some reason, both women found themselves thinking the same thing:

If only the one Luo Qing was holding... was me.

Before long, the group arrived at the house.

The unexpected addition of the two Liyue sisters stunned Theresa, who was nestled on the couch, knitting.

As one of Luo Qing's earliest followers from Liyue, she vividly remembered how her master had thoroughly charmed these two women.

But how had they managed to follow him all the way to Sumeru?

Were they here to stir up trouble?

Meanwhile, Rosalyne, Luo Qing's personal maid, remained unperturbed.

To her, it made no difference. She had already accepted her role as her master's possession, and whether he brought home one or several women was none of her concern.

"Alright, hand me the fish," Makoto said, lifting the large catch from Luo Qing's waist. Then, turning to Ganyu and Shenhe, she added in a soft voice, "Why don't you two relax in the living room for a bit? Theresa and I will get dinner ready. Rosalyne, you come along too."

"Yes…"

"Huh?!"

Theresa blinked, but a subtle look from Makoto jolted her into action. She quickly followed after her with an exaggerated smile.

"O-Oh! Of course, my lady! I'll help you right away!"

Her instincts told her that staying near Luo Qing right now would only spell trouble.

With that, only Luo Qing, Shenhe, and Ganyu remained in the living room.

The two sisters sat on the couch, while Luo Qing took a seat across from them.

After a long silence, Luo Qing glanced at the closed kitchen door and decided to break the ice.

"So, Ganyu, Shenhe… what brings you two to Sumeru?"

"We…"

Ganyu's cheeks flushed. She opened her mouth but couldn't find the words.

"We're here to see you," Shenhe said coldly.

"Lumine told us about your relationships with some women in Inazuma—that you were... intimate with them. We came to confirm if it's true."

"Inazuma?" Luo Qing pondered briefly. Lumine must have seen him kiss the Raiden Shogun. And Ayaka… well, that was probably obvious by now, too.

"It's true," he admitted.

"Why would you do that?" Shenhe asked, her gaze fixed on him. Her eyes flicked to the red string bracelet on his wrist—the one she and Ganyu had gifted him together. Seeing him still wearing it stirred a mix of anger and disappointment in her heart.

"Give it back. You're not worthy of wearing it!"

"Oh?" Luo Qing raised his wrist, letting the bracelet dangle slightly. "But you gave it to me. It's mine now, isn't it?"

"Give it back!"

"And if I don't?"

"Then I'll—" Shenhe moved as if to grab her polearm, prepared to battle him on the spot.

But before things could escalate, Ganyu hurriedly stepped in to stop her.

"Shenhe, please! Luo Qing is right. We gave it to him, and we can't just take it back..."

Turning to Luo Qing, she offered a slightly apologetic smile.

"Luo Qing, I'm sorry…"

Her soft and regretful expression stirred something within Luo Qing.

It seemed that Zhongli had indeed kept his promise to appear in Ganyu's dreams and guide her. But this was still Luo Qing's mess to clean up, and he couldn't leave it all to Makoto.

After a moment of thought, Luo Qing decided to be direct.

"So, why did you give it to me?" he asked. "Was it out of guilt? Or was it something else?"

"If it's guilt, I don't need it. I can return it to you right now."

"I…"

"You—" Shenhe glared at him, but Luo Qing cut her off with a smirk.

"But if it's something else…" He stood up, walked over to them, and leaned down slightly. His voice dropped to a whisper.

"Then what is it?"

Both women fell silent.

When they searched their hearts, they couldn't quite explain why Luo Qing mattered so much to them.

"And Shenhe," Luo Qing continued, straightening up. "Didn't you promise to stay in Liyue Harbor? What are you doing here in Sumeru?"

"Because of you…" Shenhe's cheeks turned red as she averted her gaze.

She hadn't meant to come this far, but hearing about his intimacy with other women had left her no choice.

"Because of me? What about me?"

"Because you're a scumbag…" she muttered.

"True, I am a scumbag," Luo Qing replied nonchalantly. "But what's that got to do with you? Knowing that, why are you still here? Unless…"

He tilted his head slightly, a teasing smile playing on his lips.

"You like me?"

"..."

"I…" Shenhe's face turned crimson as she fumbled for words.

Lowering her head, she stayed silent for a moment before suddenly lifting her gaze, fixing her eyes on Luo Qing.

"Then what about before? When you put your arm around my waist—what was that supposed to mean?"

[+1 Frustration Points from Luo Qing]

Was Theresa right all along?

Was Shenhe truly the type of hopelessly pure-hearted girl who believed that just holding her waist meant taking responsibility?!

"Are you saying I should take responsibility?" Luo Qing asked.

"Isn't that what you're supposed to do?" Shenhe's gaze wavered, as if she wasn't entirely confident in her own words.

"Of course I should."

Something about her flustered expression struck Luo Qing as endearing.

With a chuckle, he made a bold decision.

Time to act.

Moving swiftly, Luo Qing cupped Shenhe's face with both hands.

Before Ganyu could react, he leaned in and kissed her without hesitation.

The room fell utterly silent.

Time seemed to freeze.

Shenhe's wide-eyed, stunned expression and Ganyu's comically large, round eyes said it all.

Luo Qing had kissed Shenhe.

And… he'd even used tongue?!

Does this count as openly flirting?!
