"Here, the uniform we ordered earlier has arrived. I brought it for you" Momoi said, handing the uniform to Kuroko.
"Thank you, Momoi, and you too, Shiro" Kuroko replied as he took the uniform. Turning around, he held it up high, gazing at the first-string uniform with eyes full of happiness. It was as if he were radiating light.
Shiro smirked slightly and added, "Oh, by the way, there's something else. Another player is joining the first-string team tomorrow."
Kuroko turned back and said, "I heard about that earlier today."
"Then I'll cut to the chase. This new guy has only been in the basketball club for two weeks, so the coach hopes you'll help guide him. His name is Ryota Kise" Momoi explained.
"Apparently, he's a prodigy" Shiro said with a faint smile, silently thinking, Looks like the Generation of Miracles is finally coming together.
"Alright, Shiro, we should get going! You promised to go hang out with me today, and you're not allowed to back out!" Momoi pouted slightly, tugging at Shiro's sleeve. A faint blush spread across her face—it was her first time going out alone with him.
Shiro turned to her with a gentle smile. "Sorry, Kuroko. Can you let Aomine know for me? I've already made plans with Momoi today." He reached out and lightly patted Momoi's head, reassuring her. "Alright, let's go."
Momoi's mood instantly brightened, and she nodded enthusiastically.
Kuroko, understanding, simply said, "Alright" Then he turned back to organizing his things, preparing to head to the gym.
"We'll be off then!" Shiro said cheerfully. He took Momoi's small hand and began walking toward the school gate with a light step.
Momoi's hand was warmly clasped in his, and a surge of emotion swept over her. Blushing deeply, she kept her head down as she walked alongside him. Her heart raced as the thought echoed in her mind: Shiro's holding my hand!
She couldn't help but glance at his hand, noting the defined knuckles and the light calluses that added to its charm. The touch gave her an inexplicable sense of comfort and security.
Shiro felt her soft fingers in his grasp, marveling at their delicate texture. The sensation was too good—light, fleeting, yet unforgettable.
Suddenly, a voice called from behind. "Shiro!" He turned, locking eyes with Momoi for a moment.
She smiled brightly, her beautiful face glowing with joy. Her almond-shaped eyes sparkled with excitement, as if fireworks had just burst in her gaze.
Shiro snapped out of his daze and chuckled softly. "You're so beautiful, Momoi. I almost lost focus. What's up?"
Her cheeks flushed as she shyly tugged at her clothes. "Where are we going?" she asked in a soft voice, nervous yet hopeful.
"I've got two options for you" Shiro said with a warm grin, leaning slightly closer. "Would you like to have fun at the amusement park or explore the aquarium?"
Momoi's eyes lit up, and she couldn't hide her excitement. "Let's go to the amusement park!"
With her decision made, Shiro smiled and gently took her hand again, leading her toward a sleek black car waiting nearby.
The driver, standing respectfully by the car, opened the door for Momoi. Once she was seated, Shiro followed, nodding in approval as the driver signaled that everything was ready.
As the car rolled smoothly toward the amusement park, Momoi gazed out the window at the passing scenery, her heart filled with anticipation. Shiro sat quietly beside her, occasionally exchanging soft words that created a warm and pleasant atmosphere.
Upon arriving, the park was surprisingly quiet, with fewer visitors than usual—perhaps because it wasn't the weekend.
Shiro felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. He took a deep breath to steady himself. "Momoi, what do you want to do first?"
Her face lit up. "Let's ride the roller coaster, of course!"
Shiro chuckled softly. "Alright, let's go!"
They walked to the roller coaster hand in hand. With only a few people ahead of them, they quickly reached the front of the line.
As they were secured in their seats, Momoi leaned toward Shiro and whispered in a trembling voice, "What if I get scared?"
"Don't worry, Momoi. If you're scared, just hold my hand tight—or scream if you need to. I'll be right here with you" Shiro said gently, placing his hand over hers for reassurance.
Momoi looked up at him, seeing the unwavering warmth and care in his eyes. She nodded slightly, her heart fluttering.
The roller coaster began to climb, and the anticipation grew. Just as it reached the peak and plummeted forward, Momoi instinctively gripped Shiro's hand tightly, holding on for dear life.
Meanwhile, Shiro kept his promise, never letting go of her hand, silently hoping this day would be as perfect for her as it was for him.
