Kieran was back to his usual self, strong and alert as he stood by my side in his uniform.
It had been two days since the gathering, and things were finally starting to settle.
Well, as much as they could in Rivendale. There was still a lot to do, but having Kieran back at full strength gave me more confidence.
Captain Gerard and I had spent the last two days talking about the mystery of who had been helping Elara. Someone inside had been feeding her information. Gerard had been relentless, combing through reports, questioning guards, and reviewing records.
This morning, we finally had answers.
"It was the two guards stationed at the western gate," Gerard said, his voice low as we stood in the strategy room. "They were slipping messages to Elara during their night shifts. One of them confessed when I questioned him."
"Have they been arrested?" I asked, crossing my arms.
