The day after the wedding Trunks arrives at Goten's house with a determined smile, his fists clenched with excitement. He knocked on the door, and Goten quickly answered, grinning as he saw his friend.
"Ready to spar?" Trunks asked, raising his brows.
"Always! Let's go," Goten replied, eager as ever. They took off together, flying over hills and fields until they reached a distant clearing where they could train without interruptions.
They landed, launching immediately into a fast-paced sparring session in their base forms, their movements quick and sharp as they matched each other blow for blow. Then, just as Trunks was about to throw another punch, he froze, spotting something in the sky. Goten noticed his stare and looked up too, his eyes widening as he saw a strange ship hurtling toward the ground, spinning out of control.
"Let's catch it!" Goten shouted.
Both boys shot up into the sky, intercepting the spaceship just before it could crash. They carefully brought it down, setting it gently on the ground as its engines sputtered and died. They stepped back, watching curiously as the hatch slowly opened.
From within the ship emerged a small, old elf-like figure with wise eyes, a flowing silver beard, and a shimmering robe adorned with ancient symbols. He carried a wooden staff topped with a glowing crystal that pulsed with a faint, otherworldly energy.
The old figure stepped forward, nodding gratefully to them. "Thank you, young warriors," he said, his voice calm but resonant. "I am Eldaron, a traveler from a distant realm."
Trunks tilted his head, intrigued. "A distant realm? What brings you here?"
Eldaron's expression grew serious. "My realm is under threat from a great darkness. I have come seeking warriors who might help save my people. Only beings from certain races can enter our dimension, and only children of other realms can come through as well. I had hoped that, perhaps, I might find such young warriors here."
Goten looked at Trunks, eyes shining with excitement. "Trunks we should go since I want to see this realm and fight this powerful evil!"
Trunks seemed a bit more skeptical. "But why only kids? And how do we know we can trust you?"
Eldaron nodded thoughtfully, understanding their hesitation. "A wise question, young fighter. Only children and elves can enter the Elf Realm because of the purity of spirit that shields against the darkness that infects our world. I would not have risked this journey if it were not for a noble cause. But I leave my fate in your hands my mission is as much for you to decide as it is mine to ask."
Goten's face lit up, and he looked at Trunks with determination. "Come on, we can't just leave people in danger Trunks!"
Trunks glanced between Goten and Eldaron, then gave a small nod. "Alright then"
Eldaron's eyes glimmered with hope. "Thank you, young warriors. Your courage may be exactly what my people need."
They stepped inside the ship, marveling at the intricate and ancient design that shimmered with an ethereal glow. Eldaron took his seat at the helm, and as he initiated the ship's power, they began to rise smoothly off the ground. With a brief look back at Earth, they soared into the skies, breaking through the atmosphere and into the vastness of space.
Eldaron turned toward Goten and Trunks with a reassuring nod before he engaged the hyperdrive. In an instant, the stars around them blurred, and they were hurtling through the cosmos at incredible speed.
"Where exactly are we going?" Trunks asked, still trying to process everything happening around him.
Eldaron smiled. "We're heading to the Rakka System, to a planet called Batapi. From there, we'll meet with a being named Warp-sama, a guardian of sorts a giant fish who drifts through space. He will take us into the Elf Realm."
Trunks blinked, trying to comprehend. "Wait, we have to get eaten by a fish to get there?"
Eldaron chuckled. "Not quite. Warp-sama will open a portal within himself, but he requires a certain… access code to allow anyone inside."
Soon, they approached Planet Batapi as the massive, otherworldly shape of Warp-sama appeared before them, gliding slowly across the stars. His enormous eyes glanced their way.
Eldaron approached Warp-sama, who seemed to recognize him and paused, hovering in space. Eldaron held his staff out, and the crystal at its tip began to glow brightly. He whispered a series of numbers a "PIN" as he called it and, as if unlocking a door, Warp-sama opened his mouth wide, revealing a shimmering portal within.
Trunks gawked, his eyes wide. "This is… wild!"
Goten just grinned, nudging Trunks. "Come on, we're going into a giant fish! This is awesome!"
They went into Warp-sama's mouth, and as soon as they passed through, everything around them shimmered and warped, transporting them into the magical Elf Realm.
As they emerged into the Elf Realm, Goten and Trunks couldn't hide their shock. The sky was a deep, unsettling shade of dark purple, with streaks of red lightning crackling across the horizon. A sense of foreboding hung in the air, and the once-beautiful landscape was marked with destruction trees reduced to ash, rivers running dark, and the ground cracked and scorched. As the space ship lands they get out as Goten shivered, sensing the malevolent energy surrounding them. "This place… it's way worse than I imagined."
Trunks nodded, his face serious as he scanned the desolate land. "Yeah, and that power I sense… it's huge. I can feel it everywhere."
Eldaron looked over at them, his expression somber. "This is what has become of our realm. The darkness has spread, consuming everything it touches. Only a few places remain safe for our people, and even those sanctuaries are fading."
Trunks clenched his fists, his determination growing. "We'll help you stop this. Whatever it is, we won't let it keep destroying your world."
Goten nodded firmly. "Yeah! We've handled powerful enemies before we can do this!"
As they moved through the shattered landscape, Eldaron turned to the boys, his expression grave. "Young warriors, there's something you must know. The darkness that plagues our realm is not just physical. The evil magic has seeped into the very fabric of this world, making it nearly impossible for anyone to tap into their true power."
Trunks raised an eyebrow, a bit confused, and decided to test it out. He clenched his fists, focusing his energy to transform into a Super Saiyan. He gritted his teeth, his muscles tensed, but nothing happened not even a flicker of his usual golden aura.
"What?!" Trunks exclaimed, frustration and shock on his face. "I can't… it's like my super saiyan power is completely locked."
Goten's eyes widened, the weight of their mission hitting him all at once. "If we can't transform… this is gonna be way tougher than we thought."
Eldaron gave them a sympathetic nod. "This darkness strips away all external enhancements, leaving only the strength of your base forms. But perhaps, in your pure state, you will find a resilience even this magic cannot touch."
Trunks glanced at Goten, his worry evident, but Goten gave him a determined smile. "We've still got our skills and each other. We'll find a way to win, no matter what."
Eldaron's gaze softened, clearly moved by their courage. "Then let us press on. The Great Evil lies within the deepest shadows of this realm."
