Chapter 28: Spending Spree Dilemma

I needed to figure out a way to burn through my fortune. At the current rate of 500 gold coins a day, things were starting to look a bit ridiculous. I already had a substantial amount saved from selling those Orc materials. Honestly, if I were just looking for some pocket money, the Orc loot would've been more than enough.

But now, I was paying off a loan for a massive estate—a loan of 1,000 gold coins per month, no less. And with 500 gold coins coming in daily, I had more money than I knew what to do with.

"Alright, you're dismissed," I told the royal guards stationed outside Karina's quarters.

"We are here on the orders of the King," one of them protested.

"Well, Karina and I agree that your services are no longer needed. I'm telling you now before she has a chance to bring it up with the King."

"Lies!" one of the guards, Uzaru, snapped, gripping the hilt of his sword in anger.
