Chapter 62: Names

The old man muted the TV. "You hear that they are sending young children in the middle of Wailing Hollows. That place is going to be a death zone, I tell you."

He then turned to face Soren. "It's going to be dangerous; I know it has been your dream to attend the Sacred Vanguard Academy ever since I met you, but this… I don't believe anything out there is worth-"

"I am going, old man." Soren cut him off, trying his best to hold his smile.

"Thanks for worrying about me, but I have to attend the Sacred Vanguard Academy, whether it's in the human domain or out there in the expanse."

Hearing him, the old man let out a sigh. "I was worried about that." He then turned around and unmuted the TV. Even though he was silent Soren could tell the old man was upset, very upset.

But he couldn't care about that. Instead, his mind was focused on the news.
