I wake up slowly, blinking against the morning light as it filters through the room. For a moment, I don't move, letting myself soak in the warmth of the bed, the lingering scent of Damien in the sheets. 

A soft smile tugs at my lips as I remember last night—how he claimed me in front of everyone, making it clear to the world that I'm his. It was more than just an engagement; it was a declaration, one that's left me feeling lighter, somehow more certain.

I glance down at my hand, admiring the way the diamond catches the light. I'm engaged to Damien Frost. The thought sends a thrill through me, and I can't help but feel excited about where this is going.

The sound of the shower running pulls me out of my thoughts, and I glance toward the bathroom door. My heart skips a beat, knowing he's in there, probably looking incredible and completely unaware of the effect he has on me.
