Chapter 56: Don’t Make Me Go Away  

Shaking my head, I smiled up at Elizabeth. "I can't stay here," I murmured, not overly happy about that fact. But I granted all the wishes that I wanted to, and I was worried that I might end up killing more of the women.

"Besides, it's not like I'm made of sugar. I won't melt from a bit of rain," I continued, patting her hand. "I'll be fine, I promise. Besides, it's surprisingly hard to kill me."

"That is not the type of reassurance that I wanted to hear," grumbled Elizabeth, pulling me into her embrace.

"Then what is?" I asked, genuinely surprised at her statement.

"Tell me that you are going to be safe and happy with whatever you do," she started. Pulling me away from her, I felt her thumb rubbing my cheek. "Tell me that you will come back if at all possible, and tell me that you will never forget me."
