The children were gathered around Caspian and his three-tier cake, their faces glowing with excitement as they chattered away. A few maids stood I glanced around, searching for Lilly and spotted her near the front, helping to arrange the children around the cake. The King had slipped into the shadows, trying to remain inconspicuous, her presence a subtle contrast to the lively atmosphere. I made my way towards Lilly, who caught sight of me and waved with a bright smile.
