"Sensei Kurenai, has the Land of Wind been invaded by an enemy ninja village?"
As they continued to move rapidly through the landscape, Aburame Shino couldn't help but ask, noticing the key phrasing in Kurenai's earlier words. She had said that the Land of Wind was under attack, not Sunagakure specifically.
If the country's territory had been invaded and Sunagakure, the military base of the Land of Wind, was asking for Konoha's help, it meant the situation was beyond the Sand Village's ability to handle, forcing them to call on their ally.
Yagyu also had a contemplative look on his face, surprised that such a major event was taking place before the start of the Shippuden arc. He hadn't expected such a large-scale crisis after Uchiha Sasuke's defection in the earlier part of the story.
"You can read it for yourselves."
Kurenai tossed a scroll to Shino as she continued marking points on a map of the Land of Wind.
Shino opened the scroll and quickly became surprised after reading its contents. "The cities of the Land of Wind are being attacked by armored soldiers, large steel warships, and a massive mobile fortress bombarding them with cannon fire? Steel warships and mobile fortresses... has the outside world's technology advanced this much?"
"These attackers came out of nowhere, and they aren't using ninjutsu. If it weren't for the fact that they have a mobile fortress that can walk on land, I'd think they were invaders from some unknown island beyond the ninja continent," Kurenai speculated. "But the continent is vast, and the Warring States period lasted for millennia. These people could be descendants of some ancient kingdom, or they might have stumbled upon treasure from an ancient civilization."
Yagyu's expression suddenly became strange as a sense of familiarity washed over him.
It was just like when he encountered those ninjas trying to steal the Micro-Scent Bug.
Clearly, this wasn't a result of the butterfly effect caused by Yagyu's actions but rather an event from the original storyline.
Such a major incident, Yagyu figured he might have seen before but had simply forgotten.
With that thought, Yagyu made a single hand sign, sending out instructions to his Wood Clones scattered across the ninja world.
Instantly, the Wood Clones disguised through the transformation technique activated the Mayfly Technique and made their way to the Land of Wind, beginning to search for those steel warships and the mobile fortress.
One day later, Team 8 arrived in the Land of Wind after traveling at full speed. During that time, Yagyu's Wood Clones continuously fed him real-time information.
With the strongest Body Flicker Technique, the Mayfly Technique, along with the sensory abilities of the Mind's Eye of the Kagura, the Byakugan, and the Sharingan, the Wood Clones cooperated to pinpoint the locations of the steel warships and the mobile fortress. This allowed Yagyu to finally recall the details of this particular arc.
No wonder it felt so familiar but hard to place. It wasn't from the manga or anime—it was from a movie.
This movie was called Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel.
The reason Yagyu remembered it wasn't because it was famous. On the contrary, it was one of the most boring Naruto movies, often regarded as the dullest of them all.
Ironically, its dullness made Yagyu remember it more distinctly.
Thanks to the information collected by his Wood Clones, Yagyu recalled some important plot points. The group attacking the Land of Wind wanted to build a utopia, but their leader was actually searching for a special energy-filled stone mine, intending to absorb its power to make himself stronger.
That mine contained a terrifying amount of energy, and if it were to explode, its power could destroy half a continent.
Thinking about this, Yagyu couldn't help but inwardly mock the situation.
It seemed like the most over-the-top threats always came from the movies.
The Ryumyaku chakra that could destroy the entire land, the chakra cannon capable of firing from Earth to the moon, and the Tenseigan that could split the moon—these were all from the movies.
Now there was this energy-filled mine that could blow up half a continent. If Yagyu didn't already know that Six Paths-level powers represented a transcendence of existence, he might have thought that the Ten-Tails was kind of weak by comparison.
After all, the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb could only destroy a few mountains or a command center at most. It couldn't even wipe out a small country in a single attack.
On the other hand, this mine, the Ryumyaku, and the chakra cannon all had starting destruction ranges of half a continent.
However, more than the mine that could destroy half a continent, Yagyu was most interested in the solution to this crisis—the Time-Space Void.
This was a bottomless void that could suck everything into it and could only be triggered by a special bloodline. It was located in the underground ruins in the movie.
By finding the key to trigger the summoning formation, the bottomless void could be summoned, sucking both the caster and the mine into it.
Yagyu's eyes flashed with a sharp gleam.
The Time-Space Void was essentially a special space-time summoning technique for mutual destruction. But Yagyu was eager to witness such a unique summoning technique.
Since obtaining the strongest techniques from the First Hokage and Second Hokage, Yagyu had been focusing on his training, with his shadow clones assisting him.
The technique Yagyu valued the most wasn't Edo Tensei, but the Flying Thunder God Technique, which only Tobirama Senju and Minato Namikaze had mastered.
Of the three great techniques in Shippuden, the most powerful in combat was the Eight Gates, but the most broken wasn't Edo Tensei—it was the Flying Thunder God Technique, which had no range limit and could be activated instantly without seals as long as the user left behind a space-time mark.
Even more terrifying was the fact that once the Flying Thunder God mark was placed on someone, it couldn't be removed unless the person became a Six Paths-level being or removed the marked flesh.
As long as the mark remained, the user could teleport to their opponent at any time.
This was the first time Yagyu had attempted to master such a high-level technique without his system's help, and so far, he hadn't made any progress.
Now, with the Time-Space Void appearing, Yagyu had an epiphany.
He decided to experience this space-time power firsthand, hoping it might help him grasp the Flying Thunder God Technique.
Having made his decision, Yagyu gave his Wood Clones new orders, instructing them to carry out his freshly devised plan.
Of course, Team 8 had no idea what Yagyu was planning.
Once they crossed into the Land of Wind, Kurenai quickly said, "We don't have any intel on the attackers yet. Let's head to Sunagakure first and see what help they need."
Before Shino and Hinata could nod, Yagyu spoke up, "No need, Sensei. I've already sent my Wood Clones to assist the attacked cities. Sunagakure is also searching for their whereabouts, and they've already found some clues. We can just meet up with them."
"Wood Clones?" Kurenai stared at Yagyu in surprise. "When did you send out Wood Clones?"
"A long time ago," Yagyu admitted. "Wood Clones are special. They aren't limited by distance from the original, can absorb others' chakra to recover, and can act as my eyes and ears outside the village."
"Oh, I see." Team 8 nodded in realization, and Kurenai sighed, "No wonder you know so much for someone so young. It's not just that you're a prodigy."
"Let me lead the way," Yagyu said before speeding off.
Team 8 quickly followed.

Zzzzz…
Whooosh…
Boom!
In a desert in the Land of Wind, the sounds of electricity crackling, wind howling, and explosions echoed through the air.
The scene zoomed in to show Gaara and his siblings fighting a group of armored soldiers near a broken-down ship that had just emerged from underground.
Leading the soldiers were a man and three women, all dressed in different colored knight armor.
The man wasn't fighting, but the three female knights were battling Gaara's siblings, each possessing unique abilities.
"Who are you people?" Gaara asked coldly, his arms crossed as he faced Rank, the woman in purple armor who could release lightning without hand signs. "These unknown abilities and advanced equipment—what force are you with, and why are you attacking the Land of Wind?"
But Rank didn't answer. She continued to unleash lightning, trying to break through Gaara's automatic sand defense while shouting at the man, Timusi, who stood idly by, conflicted. "Timusi, what are you doing just standing there? Go after them and complete Lord Haido's mission!"
"But what about you three…"
"Don't argue! We'll find you soon enough. Your job is to capture that person and find the place. Lord Haido's mission is the priority!"
Suddenly, Rank's body began to glow green, her skin turning purple and her body swelling into an ape-like form. The blue-white lightning she wielded grew even more violent, its power and speed surging.
Seeing his companion use the power of the Gelel Stone, Timusi hesitated no longer. His face darkened, and he nodded. "Understood. Be careful."
With that, Timusi pulled out a device and smashed it on the ground.
A flash of golden light followed, and when it faded, he had disappeared.
It was a flash bomb!
Seeing this, Gaara's expression shifted under his sand armor. Although he didn't know their exact goal, it was clear that the man was on his way to accomplish something crucial, something likely dangerous to the Land of Wind.
Realizing this, Gaara quickly formed hand seals and slammed his hands on the ground. "Desert Coffin!"
In an instant, the desert seemed to collapse, as the soldiers being slaughtered by Kankuro and Temari found the ground beneath them giving way. The sand formed giant hands, pulling them underground before squeezing tightly, wiping them out.
In the desert, Gaara was as formidable as Kisame in the ocean, Kimimaro in a forest of bones, or Yagyu within his Tree World.
Within seconds, the entire army had been wiped out, leaving only the three female knights.
By now, all three had entered their beastly forms.
Rank, who fought Gaara, had transformed into an ape. Camilla, who battled Kankuro in green armor, had become a bat.
And Fengwai, the blue-armored knight fighting Temari, had turned into a werewolf.
"For Lord Haido's utopia, you will all die!"
The three beast knights roared like wild animals, their personalities becoming more violent.
Fengwai, who fought Temari, unleashed a sonic wave with twisted air currents, catching Temari off guard.
Instinctively, Temari swung her three-star fan, summoning a powerful wind jutsu that kicked up a cloud of sand.
But the sonic attack pierced through the wind and sand, causing Temari to lose her balance. Her ears rang, and sand got into her eyes. She instinctively covered her ears and closed her eyes, preparing to expand her sensory abilities.
However, she underestimated the speed of a werewolf.
Before her sensory abilities could be activated, a shadow darted through the dust storm, claws reaching for her.
"Temari!"
Both Gaara and Kankuro's expressions changed in panic. Gaara desperately controlled his sand, regret filling his heart.
He hadn't expected these enemies to be so much stronger in their transformed states.
If he had known, he wouldn't have held back in his attempt to capture them alive!
Splat, splat, splat…
Just then, the sound of something sharp piercing flesh rang out, reaching Gaara, Kankuro, and the remaining two knights, Rank and Camilla.
Gaara and Kankuro's faces paled, while Rank and Camilla grinned savagely, as if they could already see Fengwai tearing Temari to pieces through the storm.
Whoosh!
A gust of wind blew away the sandstorm, and the smiles on Rank and Camilla's faces disappeared instantly.
Gaara and Kankuro, on the other hand, were filled with relief.
"Are you okay?"
Temari's ears, no longer ringing, suddenly caught the sound of a gentle voice.
Opening her blurry eyes, she saw a tall figure standing before her, backlit by the sunlight.
Slowly, the figure became clearer.
Silver hair, a black cloak, one hand in his pocket, the other gripping the neck of the werewolf knight, who was covered in wooden spikes, as he turned his head toward her with ruby-red eyes.
"Ya… Yagyu!"
Looking at the boy whose name had recently spread across the entire ninja world, just as she had expected, Temari called out his name.
Gazing at his incredibly handsome profile and his ruby-like eyes, her heartbeat suddenly quickened, as if her heart was about to jump out of her chest.
Her blood rushed, her temperature rising, and even without touching her face, Temari knew it had to be bright red.
