Write a reviewHope you reading this. I understand and am glad that you are still writing. I was patiently waiting the other one to stack till past 100. And ngl, i hate rewrites. I feel more at ease with old ones because I can feel the growth of the writing and most rewrites always gets ruined as they lost what makes it special. I mean I literally waited weeks to months for new chapters😶. Hope it doesn't devolve from the original because i like it very very much
Probably one of if not the best original stories on webnovel, and yes, I said original. Do not let the mention and breif visitation of games fool you, Abadom has written an amazingly fleshed out world from the ground up. Anything jnvolving games only takes up about 5 - 10% of the story. Abadom isnt perfect, so ill make a pro and con list and explain why for each entry. PROS: MC - Phillip is the best main character ive ever read. He actually evolves like a character should, he doesnt just stay the same stagnant pile of writing. Supporting Characters: A lot of the supporting characters are very well fleshed out, none of them feel like yes men or ' heroine_ 4058'. World Building: There is plenty of world building, and it explores how the world is outside of the human empire a lot. CONS: Now before getting into cons, I personally dont see some of these as cons, but I do know a lot of people do, anything like that I'll put a star next too. Yappology *: Goddamn do the characters in his story never stop yapping. Every character just goes on and on and on, makes me think every character has ADHD or something. Theres a reason each chapter is a minimum of 50 pages (thats a joke keep doing yo shit Abadom). Excessive Mystery*: Although mystery is a good thing to have in any story, there is a metric ton of mystery attatched to this series. Without spoiling anything, we are told of multiple things that we wont know the true meaning of for atleast 100 chapters, and it can get annoying after a while. Inconsistency: Although there are not a lot of inconsistencies in the story, there is in the uploading chapters. Now, I understand why his schedule is incosistent, and I dont really mind, but there are those times where I just cant defend it. a week is fine, 2 weeks is fine, 3 - a month is a bit outrageous. In case of family stuff is different, but other than that, an announcement or so would be nice. though to be fair, im not on the dicord (if there is one) so maybe he announces that stuff there. Anyways, im done yapping myself. TLDR: Very good, read it you shmuck.
Looking forward to the rewrite the older one had bad pacing in the later chapters. Obviously it wasn't horrendous but it lost the impact it had at first.
I loved the original story. The world building was pretty good in my memories and I loved the characters. I forgot the name but the best ship is the purple mage with MC. I won't read for now, I will wait for 60-70 chapter before returning because of trauma from other authors who loved to constantly rewrite their stories with less and less chapters produced between each times. I don't know if I just have a bad memory but I also remember that the MC never had a really hard fight where he needed to used all of his arsenal against a truly life threatening enemy outside of the simulations.
Reveal SpoilerWhat is this the 3rd or fourth version of this story i am gonna be honest i have forgotten but its great as always
FINALLY I have been waiting for updates for ages. The old one was a solid psuedo fanfic with epic moments. I do hope to see improvements in the pacing and characters from this rewrite.(Also, more soulsborne stuff please)
HOLY MOLY YOU ARE REWRITING IT?! I was just about to begin rereading the old one and then saw the "old version" thingy and my heart skipped a beat. To anyone new that didn't read the og, this is P E A K
Writing quality isn't the best. (just occasion sentence structuring problems or using wrong words like pulling professors from behind the curtains instead of bringing them) but I think it has its own charm. I really love how the author uses the stereotypes from Japanese Isekai novels in a new way (filling the whole book with them). especially how he levels and takes advantage of the system rules. Also, I hope you add something new for us old readers. to keep us in suspense Writing: 4 Stability of Updates: Don't remember from the old book Story development: Godly Character Design: 5 (turned stereotypes into something new and interesting) World Background: 5 (has you thirsting for more)
What's to say? this takes everything the previous ZftW did and enhanced it with a few details and better formatting. Can't wait for more. Jsjdjdjdjddhdhdjdjsjsjsj
One of the best stories I've ever seen, the long chapters, the way the protagonist thinks rationally and is not a no-brainer, the completely original and gigantic world that leaves infinite possibilities among others. The only point that I didn't find good was the lack of better development of the other heroes that seemed like they would happen in the last arc before the rewrite. I will follow this rewrite just as I followed the original. 100/10
i hope this time the pacing is much better, i remember i loved it before but then somewhere around chapter 50-60 it got super slow while mc was supposed to be on a time crunch so i put it down to collect. i hope we get even more bloodbourne this time.
While i cant really say anything about the rewrite, because only 2 Chapters are out, the old version was one of my, if not my favorite story and i would highly recommend to atleast try it out.
This is a great story and the fact that its getting a revamp is so great I'm long forward to seeing where this story goes in the future 10 outa 10 you should read this story.
Definitely way better in all aspects. I hope to see more chapters beyond the old version and if possible to see a Patrëon open up for those who was to support and or see more chapters. Also I do hope for a Monster Hunter class and a Calamity Terraria class at some point.
