Chapter 19: Marvel, Scientist Becomes God, Ch 19

Phil Coulson hurried downstairs after hearing that several members lurking in the Osborn garage had been attacked. He asked his assistant, "What's the situation?"

The assistant replied, "We've examined the hair left behind by the attackers. It belongs to Sabretooth, one of Magneto's subordinates. We're not sure if there were any other attackers yet, as they've already tampered with the surveillance footage."

"Magneto's people?" Phil murmured, furrowing his brow. "What are they doing at Oscorp? Is there something here that interests them?"

The assistant speculated, "Oscorp has conducted experiments on mutants. Could these extremists be here to sabotage them?"

Phil looked at the significant dent in the wall and smiled. "Perhaps, but it seems they ran into trouble. To leave Sabretooth in this condition, it seems like there's something very wrong with Oscorp. They might have successfully fused animal genes with human subjects, or even developed a complete product. That's extremely dangerous and needs to be monitored by the government."

"However, Oscorp clearly doesn't want to go public," the assistant noted. "Norman isn't the type to admit anything."

"Then we need to find out what their product is." Phil's expression turned serious as he gave the order. "Send top agents into Oscorp to find out what Norman is up to."

"Understood!"

...

After Ye Hai returned to the lab, he began researching the blood of Sabretooth. This mutant's blood was different from the last one he had studied, which had been previously analyzed with detailed research data. For this one, he had no prior knowledge of the genes of either Sabretooth or Mystique, so he would need to conduct new research.

Instead of rushing into genetic research, he used his advanced hacking skills to infiltrate Oscorp's central computer. He opened a secret account and created a dedicated area within the system, allowing him to conduct his research without being detected. Even if the boss, Norman, felt suspicious, he wouldn't be able to pinpoint the issue.

Ye Hai began gathering data, inputting it into the central computer, and simulating experiments with Sabretooth's blood to record its changes. This phase involved technical data collection, which couldn't be rushed; even the smartest brains needed to take their time. Ye Hai spent five days completing this process.

Once the data collection was complete, he activated the third-level brain domain and spent another three days finishing the final steps.

"Ding! Quality inspection system activated… The fusion degree of the mutant regenerative serum and the host is 92%. The experimental subject contains ancestral genes; removal of the host is advised."

Ancestral genes? Ye Hai recalled that Sabretooth resembled a tiger—was this what it referred to?

He focused back on the screen, which displayed many gene fragments. He scrolled through and found several spiral genomes. "Central computer, analyze this segment of DNA."

Soon, the central computer replied, "This segment has animalistic characteristics and is perfectly fused."

"Delete these animalistic characteristics."

...

After a flurry of activity, Ye Hai finally obtained a new serum and thought to himself, "System, activate the quality inspection system."

"Ding! Quality inspection system activated… The fusion degree of the mutant regenerative serum and the host is 99.9%, the experimental subject is nearly perfect. Host is advised to use it."

"Ding! Host has completed the task of perfectly fusing mutant genes with those of a normal person. Reward: 10,000 science points."

"Yay! It's finally done," Ye Hai exclaimed happily.

Gwen leaned over and asked softly, "Did you really complete the research on integrating mutant genes with normal ones?"

To get Gwen's help, Ye Hai didn't hide his research on mutant genes.

He waved the serum in his hand, slightly proud, and said, "This is the result of my research over the past few days."

Gwen's eyes widened as she stared at the green serum, still in disbelief. "This serum can really turn a normal person into a mutant?"

"Yes, this mutant gene is very special. It grants regenerative abilities, allowing one to heal quickly from injuries, and it maintains one's original appearance without aging or lifespan limits."

"Really? This is a potion for immortality!" Gwen's eyes sparkled with desire as she looked at the serum.

The prospect of maintaining youth is a deadly temptation for any woman.

Seeing that she was captivated, Ye Hai laughed, "Do you want this ability?"

"Of course I do!" Gwen answered without hesitation.

"Aren't you afraid of being rejected by normal people after turning into a mutant?" Ye Hai teased. "You do realize that becoming a mutant means trouble will find you."

Gwen smiled and replied, "Everyone will eventually die in bed, but we can't be afraid of beds, can we? Oh my god, eternal youth—who could resist such temptation? Ye Hai, give it to me!"

"As you wish." Ye Hai placed a vial of serum in Gwen's hand. "After injecting this serum, it will hurt for a while. I recommend you go home to do it."

"No way, I'm injecting it right now. Besides, it's only the two of us in the lab, and Peter hasn't shown up for work in days." Gwen said with a slight smile. "So you're getting injected now?"

"Yes."

Ye Hai took out another vial of serum, grabbed a syringe, and slowly injected the serum into his body.
