He could hardly believe such a grand setup was hidden in the backyard of Ross's mansion, yet here he was, standing on the pitcher's mound.

Opposite him stood Brandon, poised to deliver a powerful swing at the ball Kirito was about to throw.

"Let me go over the rules again," Ross began, his authoritative voice cutting through the quiet evening. 

"Each of you will throw 100 pitches. Every time the striker hits the ball, even if it doesn't result in a home run, it counts as one point. However, bunts don't count. Whoever has the most points at the end of the match wins."

Ross sat comfortably on the sidelines, flanked by Mari and Reina, both of whom seemed equally not interested in the unfolding game.
