Chapter 18: Teen Titans (4/4)
"You just up and left earth, what was that all about?" Raven sensing the portal floated over with crossed legs, and a spell book that I created for her floated before her.
"Whose that?" Raven's eyes narrowed seeing Blackfire, their two eyes met and they instantly grew tense. Raven was an empath, so she knew what Blackfire was after... and she instantly disliked the woman already.
"Oh, this is Komand'r... I'm thinking of giving her a more human name like Komal, which means Beautiful, Delicate, Gentle, Soft, Sweet, and delicate... I think it describes you well." I said with a smile, making Blackfire cold glare disappear, replaced with a shy, soft, and gentle blush.
"You think so?" Blackfire asked shyly, causing Raven's face to darken. As an Empath, she was able to sense everyone's mental state... all but mine unless I allowed her to... and I did.
{Raven POV}
'This dumb idiot.' I thought angrily while looking at Escanor, who was too busy in his mind to realize what Blackfire was doing. I could guess what happened, Escanor left the planet, most likely because of her. He had something planned for her but began to pity her, leading to him unsure if he should go through with the plan.
As for the crazy bitch, she thought she could take the thing I had my eyes on? Wonder Woman wasn't a problem, they would break up one day. The bond I have with Escanor was special, we both held so much in common that it was clear we were fated to be together. Escanor just doesn't know that yet, he was foolishly thinking about age, as if we half-blood demons should care for such nonsense.
He was mine... and this bitch thinks she could kill me to keep me away from her? Watch as I swallow her into darkness, I will kill her... I will make her regret ever thinking she could touch what was mine.
"Anyways, I was thinking you and her join the Teen Titans. You two don't know much about Earth, so I was thinking you know." Escanor said with a smile, to which I emotionlessly looked at him and just floated away... that wasn't happening.
"What? You have to join the Teen Titans, it's not good to stay inside all the time. Go out and make friends your age, act your age, and goof around. Make mistakes, laugh, live, and love." He said and I could tell by his mental state he was unwilling to let me stay out of the Teen Titans.
"... fine... but I don't trust her. She isn't fit to be a hero." I said knowing Komal was a dark and twisted being, and her cold glare towards me was proof alone.
"Stop being mean, give her a chance... Komal, you can stay here for the night if you want, tomorrow I will show you your new home." He said with a smile to Komal, to which Komal gave him the kindest and sweetest smile. Escanor who was here, but his mind elsewhere was tricked by that smile, a smile which Komal formed while copying someone else from memory... she disgusted me.
"Well, I should get going, I have to speak to Batman and the others," Escanor said his mind racing with plans which he kept throwing out. But in the end, he left too lost in thought to stay here and talk.
This left me displeased... I couldn't just kill her knowing that Escanor wouldn't be happy about it... unless she gave me a reason to kill her.
"Stay away from my man," Blackfire said coldly, to which I snorted.
"Then go ahead, all he does is see you as a kid," I said with a snort, making Blackfire sneer.
"I'm immortal, even if he isn't willing to be with me because I'm young, he will wait... plus, our love transcends all." She said with a smirk, and to that I just left, cursing Escanor for not being careful with his words around kids...
{MC POV}
"So, you want to start a new program to convert villains into heroes?" Batman asked to which I nodded lightly.
"We do need all the heroes we can get. From my knowledge, there are some universes where Lex joins the Justice League." I said while calmly catching an apple that was thrown to me by Flash.
"This sounds risky," Hawkgirl said with a frown, to which Hawkman nodded while wrapping his arm around Hawkgirl, just for her to slap his hand away, which annoyed him. The two love birds seemed to be having problems... and I was the reason behind it.
Flash Back, 2 months ago.
"Wait, so you guys are reincarnating over and over, and in each life, you two end up together? I knew the reincarnation part, but in every lifetime you're a couple?" I asked while throwing Hawkman a bottle of water along with Hawkgirl, the two went on to drink the water while removing their sweat.
"Yup," Hawkman said with a loving smile while looking at Hawkgirl, while Hawkgirl smiled while nodding.
"Seems romantic, I was scared it had something toxic about it," I said in a low voice that they barely heard,
"Oh, is one of our universe counterparts toxic?" Hawkman asked to which I stepped away, wanting nothing to do with this. But this only made the two want to know,
"Well, I shouldn't. you two are happy." I said to which Hawkman laughed as if what I said was stupid.
"Those are not us, we are completely different," Hawkman said to which Hawkgirl nodded, leaving me sighing as I explained.
"Well... some of your counterparts use the knowledge of their past life to get close to the other. I'm pretty sure I saw one of your counterparts just forcefully take the other away when she was in a healthy relationship. Normally the other is down in life, and it gets worse with the arrival of the other party. When the other party starts to remember their past life, it doesn't help as it sends them into an identity crisis while making them feel like they have to love the other. That's why I'm happy to see this has no toxic nonsense going on. You two are happy," I said in a low voice, making Hawkman laugh as that's how he won Hawkgirl's heart... but Hawkgirl paused as her eyes were opened.
And so their seemingly perfect relationship began cracking down, it wasn't my fault, they pretty much forced me to speak on the matter.
Flashback ended
"Yeah... but I know a few with the potential to change. We will need everyone's help, if we can turn some villains into heroes, it would greatly help us in the dangers to come." I said calmly
"Then let's put it to the test," Superman said to which I nodded.
The next day.
"Welcome to Mount Justice, the League's former base. This will now be your base, you will be known as the Teen Titans. You 10 will be under the Justice League," I said while standing before Red Arrow, Robin, Superman clone, Kid Flash, and Aqualad.
"What do you mean by 10?" Robin asked seeing as there were only 5 members, who were the other 5. At those words, I turned to the side along with Batman and the others, and there a green-skinned kid around 12 years old showed himself.
"This is Beast Boy, a man who embodies the whole animal kingdom," I said to which Beast Boy puffed his chest out in pride.
"Next to him is Static, you can guess his power by his name. He is Black Lightning's Sidekick. Next to him is Wonder Girl, you guessed it Wonder Woman sidekick. The blue thing is called Blue Beetle," I said lazily, annoying the group, mainly Wonder Girl who threw a displeased glare at me.
"There is Geo-force, the girl next to him is Stargirl, and next to her is El Dorado, and that should be all of the humans... and yes, I know that's more than 10 people, I didn't think they would all show up today," I said calmly, leaving Kid Flash who was about to point out the number pause, and instead went on to eye all of the girls.
"An alien we found a few days ago and would be joining you all is Starfire. Her home world is destroyed, leaving her as the last survivor." Wonderwoman said as Starfire stepped out, shily waving at everyone. Robin was almost instantly charmed by her appearance, but everyone was pulled away by a cry.
"You're alive!" Komal who was waiting for me to give the signal cried out while floating down, her eyes wide seeing her sister was alive. Starfire eyes widened seeing her elder sister was alive, and forgetting that her sister was the cause of the destruction of her whole family, she flew forward hugging her in joy.
"Is this the sister you spoke about?" I asked to which Komal's world froze, panic filled her world, but she nodded as she played the role of a loving sister and hugged Blackstar back.
"Y-yes... it looks like she has changed for the better, I'm so happy." She said trying to force out a tear, but nothing came, so she just hid her face away, and hugged her sister, thinking how she would kill her to avoid unwanted problems.
"Cool... anyways, that is Blackfire an alien I picked up a few days back. My sidekick is behind her, Raven." I said making Raven's eye twitch hearing me calling her a sidekick.
"I'm not your sidekick," she said not liking the jealous gazes she was getting from the girls.
"Anyways due to the fact you are all kids, I will take the time out of my busy schedule and be your therapist. Congratulations, you have taken a step forward in leaving the titles of sidekicks behind. Also, thanks to the fact you're all kids, this would count as school, we can't focus on simply turning you all into heroes over building your futures." I said while looking at everyone
"Behind me, are Red Tornado and Cyborg, these two would be your babysitters. They would overlook you all to see if you need diaper changes and stuff." I said with a smirk, causing veins to grow on all of the teen's faces.
"What? Why are you all blushing? am I that handsome, well stop dreaming, I'm taken." I said with a smirk causing Blackfire to unleash a burst of energy.
"Who!... cough, I mean, who?" She asked trying to keep her gentle look, a sight which shocked everyone.
"That would be me." Wonder Woman said not liking Blackfire,
"I challenge you to a duel, the winner is his lover!" She yelled, causing me to go blank before my ego went up by a level. Wasn't this how those cultivation novels went? I was now the prize? I smirked, my thump flicking my nose.
"What's with that smirk?" Wonder Woman asked coldly, not liking I took pleasure in this.
"C'mon son," I said before realizing what I just said. I coughed as my smile disappeared, replaced with a serious look. Batman took note of this, every weakness needed to be studied.
"Komal, there is no time for such a duel... I mean my heart belongs to my future wife... which is of course Wonder Woman." I said seeing Wonder Woman's eyes locked on me, which only softened once I said the right words.
"She is forcing you to say such things... I can treat you far better than she could ever treat you." Komal said, echoing the thoughts many were too scared to say.
I smiled at Blackfire and held my palm out, she flew over while I got on one knee so I could look her in the eyes.
"I'm sorry Komal, but as things stand we can't. I like my woman older, you're just too young. Maybe in the future, but as things stand, I will have to say no." I said making Blackfire tear up, she gave me an unwilling look, before she jumped towards me, wanting to forcefully kiss, but I moved instead kissing her on the forehead.
"... It's all an age thing, give me a few years," Komal said leaving me not knowing what to say, I looked towards Wonder Woman for help, but she ignored me since this was all my fault. I planned to fix Blackfire, not to get her to love me.
"Sure, but if you end up finding someone else, take it," I said to which Komal said nothing, walking away from everyone, her heart broken.
"I'm sorry for my sister, I will go talk to her," Starfire said before running after Komal, I watched them leave, before looking towards everyone, realizing these children most likely had a crush on me. They were young, so this was understandable, seeing the most handsome person in the world, it was normal for them to fall in love... but they would grow out of it, so I wasn't worried.
