Chapter 21: Chapter 21 : Kill the black Loki, the throne is mine!
Several vending machines were neatly lined up against the wall, with all kinds of chairs stacked in an orderly fashion. Dim lights faintly illuminated the hall below.
At the top of the hall was a short staircase, leading to a throne where a young man sat, holding a crocodile. His gaze was fixed on Jonny Blaze, who descended the entrance stairs alongside the old Loki.
Below the throne, several sofas were arranged, and on one of them sat a black man clad in armor, gripping a hammer. The entire underground castle had the distinct atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic survivor base.
As Jonny approached, he sipped red wine handed to him by the elderly Loki, silently contemplating how to redesign the place. Life had only taught him one thing: "If you want it, take it."
The glory of becoming Nadutong began with gathering people. The first step to becoming the Lord of the Void was simple: seize the throne and take control of this dungeon.
"It's nice here, but now—it's mine!" Jonny Blaze declared, eyeing the four Lokis in the room.
His words were surprising, but the Lokis remained calm.
"Another throne chaser. You should've left him outside," the black Loki said with a hint of irritation, casting a glance at the elderly Loki. He rose and pointed his hammer at Jonny.
"You have two choices: stay here peacefully, or be killed by me."
"Just a heads-up," the black Loki added smugly, "I defeated Captain America and Iron Man, and I collected all six Infinity Stones. So, you can't beat me—"
"Boom!"
Before he could finish his sentence, the golden hammer in the black Loki's hand shattered!
Jonny's eyes glinted red as he felt a strange discomfort. The other Lokis reacted faster than expected. The crocodile Loki silently approached and, with a sudden leap, clamped down on Jonny's arm.
"Crack!"
In an instant, Jonny's steel-like arm shattered the crocodile's teeth.
"Ding!"
A voice echoed in Jonny's mind: "Combat detected, reward unlocked: Super Strength (Crocodile Loki)."
Jonny threw the crocodile Loki across the room. "You think you can get away with that? Does some animal rights group have your back?"
Ignoring the crocodile Loki's wails of pain, Jonny zipped over to the elderly Loki with incredible speed.
Though his super speed wasn't the fastest, it was quick enough to leave the old Loki in shock. His hands lit up with green magical energy, and he instinctively hurled it at Jonny.
"Ding!"
"Combat detected, reward unlocked: Illusion Creation (Old Loki)."
Jonny smirked, dodging the magic blast and creating an illusionary duplicate of himself, while he sped behind the black Loki.
"Zzzt—" The searing heat ray from Jonny's eyes pierced through the black Loki's back and out through his forehead.
Despite his earlier bold talk, the black Loki was no match. He collapsed, dead.
The elderly Loki, baffled, had tried to distract Jonny with an illusion, but now he saw Jonny standing over the black Loki's body. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. The heat vision Jonny used was something no Loki possessed, though he had just demonstrated their signature illusion skill, leaving the old Loki puzzled.
Out of the four Lokis, two were down: one had broken teeth, and the other lay dead. Though the elderly Loki and the young Loki remained, they both sensed they had little chance of victory.
The young Loki, clearly shaken, pointed to the throne. "Take the throne. Let's settle this peacefully, shall we?"
Jonny, walking toward the throne, replied, "Peace doesn't mean you don't attack me, or let someone else try. It definitely doesn't mean you hit me and I don't retaliate. Peace is: you try to hit me, and I dare you to succeed."
Jonny sat on the throne, legs spread wide, and looked down at the remaining Lokis. "With the power you've shown, you'd fall long before I even tried. My advice: surrender."
